Kevin Durant injury costing Malcolm Delaney

Not sure if many of you noticed a side effect of Kevin Durant being injured while playing the Wizards a couple weeks ago. As part of that injury, Golden State felt like they had to sign Matt Barnes to help fill the void, meaning they had to make a cut elsewhere. That cut turned out to be recently signed point guard Jose Calderon, who had been with the Lakers. Well it didn't take Calderon long to find a new home with the Hawks on the 4th of March. It took Calderon a couple games to get into the swing of things but Delaney now has two straight DNPs - Coach's Decision, while Calderon had double digit scoring as a key factor in the Hawks latest win. Seems like a tough break for Malcolm but unfortunately he hasn't been able to find his shot most of the season, shooting 38% from the field and 24% from behind the arc. Tough blow but hopefully Malcolm finds his way through and gets back on the court.

Man thats a bummer. I'm not an NBA fan, but I check the Hawk's box scores every few weeks to keep an eye on Malcolm. Hopefully he puts it together.

Go Hokies

Go Falcons

He's getting paid either way!

He took about a $3-4 million pay cut to come back to the NBA, so it's tough to see it going this way.
