OT: Brockmire

I wanted to see if anybody else is watching Brockmire, the show about the Hank Azaria created character who was a major league radio announcer for Kansas City and had an on-air meltdown, then another at the subsequent press conference, causing him to be fired. The show follows his path back to prominence through a small minor league team job.

You can watch the previously aired episodes on demand on the IFC app and however else you get on demand shows.

Here are some quick clips to familiarize yourself. I enjoy this show because I love anything Hank Azaria does, but this humor is irreverent and right up my alley. Oh yeah, these videos are probably NSFW without headphones.

Here's an extra clip that had me rolling.

Never even heard of it.

Get on board. It's an hilarious ride if you're ok with the edginess.

Me neither. But I'm pretty intrigued after watching the trailer.

So, like a broadcaster version of Eastbound and Down?

Yeah, sounds about right.

This is glorious

Yep, I've been watching it and it's absolutely hilarious. My favorite quote so far:

Knowledge and assumptions are like Loggins and Messina. They seem similar, but time proves one of them to be completely worthless.

I feel like there are 20 better quotes but the one that made me laugh the hardest was when he described his penis as sounding like an old man getting up off a leather couch.

If you play it, they will win.

Heard about it in the KFC interview. Haven't gotten to watch it yet but sounds amazing. Love Azaria though.

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

Seems like the full show is a bit deeper based on the comments here, but all I could think of watching that trailer was, "hue hue, alcoholism is hilarious!"

Yeah this show has been hilarious so far. Hope the humor and excellent writing keeps up!

The complete opposite of funny, but has anyone watched Narcos on Netflix? Best show since the Wire. Not Hank Azaria funny though.

Yesssss. Blown away there hasn't been a thread for it yet. Incredible show. I'm not a big reader and probably half or more of the show is in subtitles, so yeah...it's good. If ya have kids, may want to make dead sure they're asleep...show can be straight up brutal at times.

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

All I could think while watching it is 'There is no way this shit actually happened.'

Narcos is the best original series on Netflix with Stranger Things a close second.
