As you all know, Miami has never won the ACC Coastal Division, since it's creation in 2005. You may or may not have realized that Big 10 blueblood University of Michigan has also never won their division, since the Big 10 split into divisions 6 years ago.
My question to TKP: Who wins their respective division first, Miami or Michigan?

My heart wants to say Michigan because miami has to go through us. Unfortunately I think that anOSU and PSU will always combine to be a greater impediment to Michigan than VT and...uh...(exactly) will for Miami.
Fun fact from 2006 on Miami has lost to one of (usually two of and once all three) UNC, UVA and VT in every season.
So my vote is Michigan.
Michigan will break through first because:
They do not have FSU as a cross-over rival.
They can consistently beat the worst team in their division, while Miami can't.
There are more dangerous teams to go through in the Coastal than in the East Lake division.
Miami would rather celebrate being bak than finish a season.
Podcast Ain't Played Nobody talked about this a couple weeks ago, good convo. It pains me to say, but probably Miami. Right now we are Miami's biggest nemesis with Pitt and UNC operating a half notch below. Meanwhile, Michigan's got Ohio State, Penn State, and (if they rebound) Michigan State. Just more competition in the big ten east.

Definitely Miami. I don't see Michigan winning their division anytime soon.
I'll be a contrarian and say Michigan. Having multiple other top-end teams in their division can kind of work to their advantage, too. Dropping one game isn't necessarily a death sentence because it's (nearly) just as tough for OSU and Penn State to stay unscathed. Plus, all his weird idiosyncrasies notwithstanding, I think Harbaugh is a really good coach. I'm not completely sold on Richt.
I gotta go with Michigan. Harbaugh is far more driven to succeed than I believe Richt will be at Miami. Throw in the coach's age difference, and the crazy factor for Harbaugh, plus the enormously passionate fan base, and I have to go with Big Blue.
Besides, do we Hokies ever want to see Miami win our division?
Shoot, I'm still annoyed that anyone other than the Techmo Bowl winner has won the Coastal.
Gotta go with Miami. Richt is no joke and with him coming in at the same time as Fuente, it's a different division in two years.
Michigan is going to be down for a year or two (not too far down, but down below OSU and maybe PSU in the near term).
Mississippi won't top Alabama.
Minnesota isn't good.
Missouri isn't good.
Maryland isn't good.
Memphis lost their coach last year and is rebuilding.
Massachusetts, Maine, and Montana are the wild cards here. I'm not even sure which divisions they are in.
