i need this....I know last season was really good.
NIce.... just another show to add to my list of shows of juggling around.... The Killing, Bloodline, Game of Thrones, and Ballers.
The Killing is a great series.
Also if you haven't watched it, True Detective is a must. Season 1 was crazy!
TD season 1 was amazing. The 2nd season sucked.
But since they are completely seperate stories, it's worth watching the first season for sure
Second season gets more flak than it deserves. Yes, it had its flaws because it was rushed a bit, but if it had been season 1, and then followed by McConaughey/Harrelson, it would be thought of quite differently.
Season 2 did not suck, it was just a huge letdown because season 1 was so awesome
I'm ok with using this statement to talk about a show instead of the actual team this site exists.to talk about.
Of those, I'd say make Bloodline the lowest priority. Season one was really good, but it drops off. And the rest of your options are just plain better.
well I already got through the first two seasons, so I want to finish it off
That was my thought when season three came out. Made it four episodes and wondered why I had continued to give it a chance. Just like Homeland.
Add The Leftovers. Totally underrated and full of mindf#ckery.
I think "International Assassin" and "The Most Powerful Man in the World (and His Identical Twin Brother)" are my two favorite individual episodes of any show ever.
Yeah that last season was a doozy. And to think he his hooking up with Jen Anniston.
I really want to watch this...but between working 12 hour shifts, gym time, and Breath of the Wild...I'm not sure where to fit it in.
..oh and wife and kids and stuff I guess..
Hugh Freeze makes an appearance...
Thought it was funny using hindsight when the one guy came back from his weekend at Ole Miss and the comment he made was about the 'ladies' there
Thanks for the reminder that I need to go back and watch the rest of Season 1.
Man...
I still don't like Buddy.
i get the feeling not many people are going to want to play for him in the future.
If he keeps getting kids signed, they will keep coming to play for him.
also kam carter (the kid who doesn't go to class, fights with the coaches, doesn't want to practice, shows up late for everything, and just has an overall bad attitude for most of the show) is now a PITT enrollee. not a shocker. always a good time for a F*&$ narduzzi!
Carter is a 6"5" 350lb DT that was at penn state before ending up at EMCC. I doubt we ever see him on the field. he seemed to have a hard time getting on the field at JUCO and I didn't see much production out of him on the show. only time will tell. maybe hopefully for his sake he turned over a new leaf and changed his attitude.
It's like his teammate on the show said "your size belongs at Bama but you don't belong at Bama"
He was pretty useful when he did try though.
Too bad he went to a team like shittsburg
Just finished up. The season was pretty good, still liked the first season better. Buddy is obnoxious and watching skilled players shoot them self in the foot on a great second opportunity is sad.
I actually thought Buddy did a much better job of keeping his temper in check during season II. I hated how he tried to kick the OC/Head Coach in waiting off the field during the bowl game when he miscounted the number of players on the field though. A lot of head cases this season. I would've kicked Kam and Isaiah off the team. Would not have tolerated their bs.
You think he was better? He tried to kick a players mom out for making comments about watching film. All he cares about is winning, not making changes in the boys lives. At least he didn't call them street thugs this year.
Nice, just started watching the new season. Glad this comes on a month before football starts, great way to fill the void and get you ready.
Also finally watching "The Man in the High Castle".
Brittany Wagner is qualified.
I'd hire her to be my own personal advisor any day.
After finishing the season, I ended up feeling bad for De'Andre Johnson.
After I finished the show, I went back and researched a little bit about the incident. I found this clip from the Wendy Williams show which is probably reflective of what the opinion of a dumbass would be (I don't have a lot of respect for WW). Clip starts at 3:45.
When even Wendy Williams is on your side, you should have gotten a second chance. It's clear from the video that the girl was rude, threw the first punch and possible used a derogatory term...Johnson should of had Power 5 offers after his time at EMCC and it's a shame he's finishing his career at FAU instead of a place that matters.
I hate hate hate HATE Wendy Williams, and I'm not going to watch it.
Tim Bonner also enrolled their with Clint Trickett going there too.... I bet lane Kiffin being there was a big influence
On Buddy...just think about it. He's dealing with a roster of kids who come from bad situations and those kids are not necessarily making the best decisions so put yourself in his shoes. He will either have to be a babysitter or a tough son of a gun.
On DeAndre Johnson is actually in a really good situation. Last year he was in the booth with Clint Trickett, then Clint was his Qb coach and now Clint is going to FAU as a qb coach.
It will be tough for EMCC to continue winning. Most of the staff is overhauled, Britany is starting her own business. It's gonna be tough
Trickett is the TE coach at FAU....ohhhh I see what you did there.
I know the end said Britany was starting her own business, but she's actually moved to Michigan to work as a special academic advisor at M.H. Madison High School. Kinda surprised me when it popped up on my local news feed.
That's awesome, thanks for the new info!
It was new to me also. I read your comment to MrsHokieFish and she corrected me real quick lol
One of the DE from EMCC is going to FAU TOO, maybe he'll switch to tight end
Pretty sure I will be using this gif a lot this year...
I want a gif of Buddy shoveling tobacco into his mouth for a minute straight.
That clip was hilarious. Slow and methodical
Its also leaked out that they wont be back at EMCC for season 3!
They will be heading to ICC in Kansas which is nowhere near as dominant but is on an upswing over the past few years having recently broken a +2 year losing streak and then following up with the first winning season in a decade!
It also means that for the 3rd straight year an FSU Quarterback will be on the show as it is where Malik Henry transferred to.
Link
Damn. I was really hoping that'd go for Coahoma after the episode where they kinda focused on them. Especially since their coach straight up said that EMCC was second chance U, that Coahoma was really Last Chance U.
That was probably my favorite episode
Man the way he did his OC in the bowl game, wow
Just finished watching the season last night and that meltdown was pretty disturbing. I feel like Wood was portrayed as the more reasonable coach who put up very consistent results throught the year. Buddy bringing up his ex-wife during that tirade was pretty dark. It was a bit odd they didn't cover the fallout of that bowl game a bit more (did they even win?), it seems like they really just needed to wrap everything up in 8 episodes.
I find it interesting who the crew selects to highlight throughout the year. For instance, the backup RB seemed to have a good year but I'm not sure we ever even saw his face. I guess they know early on which players (and their backstories) make for interesting TV. Overall another enjoyable season, that documentary crew really does a great job.
As VT fans would we want to see a similar documentary about our team? I think it would be interesting but could bring up some things (and personalities) that we might not want to see.
Does Lane Kiffin recruit anyone anymore or at this point, does he just wait for the next season of Last Chance U to start?
ESPN:John Franklin III transfers to FAU
his 4th school in 4 years. this man has not started at any of them. smh. hes like a pop warner kid. just going from park to park till some coach starts him.
He might not even start there since they have Johnson from FSU also. Maybe he will get more pt as a receiver at FAU than Auburn
