That's a decent analogy. Alfas won serious races "back in the day" (pre-WWII).
But I have to say, since a friend of mine had one, that the Spider was a blast to drive. Just not to own.
The jury is still out on the Giulia, but it does look like a a lot of fun to drive. The problem is that it's got some steep competition in the BMW and the Audi.

I was reading Car and Driver's comparo between the Giulia Quadrifoglio and the other usual suspects, and I think the Alfa broke twice during testing. They still proclaimed it the winner.
Conclusion: C&D writers must be Miami fans.

I also drive a VT branded Camaro, people ask me all the time what the VT edition is for. I usually reply "Very Tough" then explain that it is Tech's logo.

Miami should be any supercar that falls apart after 50 miles.
Love VT as a Camaro though, but I'm biased.
BMW M5? Had a buddy that had one. Never saw him drive it. Always talked about it though...
Miami should be an Alfa Romeo
The cars... oh my god the cars look so good. But they are historically unreliable and they all will inevitably fail before their time.
Anybody that likes cars busted out laughing at this one.
So by Top Gear's logic does this mean to truly be a college football fan I need to be a Miami fan at some point?
You have to understand the history of the game before you can appreciate the sport!

Personally, I thought the Bronco would be a better fit for Miami because it's not bak yet either.
this is what I thought of right after reading VT's description...
Would have liked Hokies better as an F-150 but I might just be biased since that I what I drive...
Agree. Hokies need to be a truck of some sort.
I was thinking the Chevy Suburban. The unofficial vehicle of Lot 1
Missed a big opportunity for Ford puns methinks
At least we escape another long Ford pun sub thread
Seems like you already have somewhat of a focus on the sub thread
I'm guessing you could just create a Fusion of other Ford pun threads if you wanted.
EDIT: that pun was already used. I think I need a Pinto beer.
Another pun Fiesta!
Jokes are rolling off the assembly line today
We can use it as a get away vehicle after we murder them in November.
I was thinking like a Jaguar XF for uva:
Reliable in their unreliability, frequent breakdowns, but considered a 'luxury' car.
I was thinking any MG for the same reason. MG's are most often spotted on jack stands or on the side of the road.
Smart Car? Only they get it, and gets crushed by every other one.
Another article where Miami is BAK!
LOLUVa as a car would be this:

This should be Florida State:

Alternate UNC Car:

While inside, UNC fans:
I lost it at the Syracuse caption, mainly because it took about 5 seconds to make sense to me.

UNC as the Bluesmobile. Perfect:

I know he retired, but how we're we not a Beamer?
As a former BMW owner, I'm fine with the team not being compared to one. Seriously overrated.
I could have it backwards but I believe the BMW cars are known as "bimmers" while it's the BMW motorcycles that are called "beamers". So that's why.
You have it right.
Oh, and guess which car juuuust got promoted to big boy status at NASCAR?
Yup

May I propose another vehicle as an upgrade for UNC.
I give you the duckmobile:

Naw, see, ducks do okay in the water, meanwhile UNC teams shrink when you get them wet.
This seems to belong here.
Might be slightly related...
Ryan Blaney in film
I prefer David Wilson's ride.
When I saw the title, this is the first thing that came to mind for loluva:

a broken down weinermobile
Miami would have to be a fake Ferrari
LOLUVA has to be a Citroen
I dunno, when I see their freddy fudd lookin' coach I think this:
I don't know if he has a lisp or not, but when I listen to him I hear one.
...Elmer Fudd?
Yep. Where did Freddy come from?
This is closer to GT.
