Tremaine Edmunds named Second Team All-American by SI

Some more worthy praise for Tremaine, this time from Sports Illustrated. Certainly hope he continues to live up to all the preseason hype he's been receiving and turns in another great season. I think he could be one of the next great NFL players to come out of the LPD.

CJF: You stand in the presence of Tremaine Edmunds of The Lunchpail Defense, rightful heir to the Iron Hokie, the rightful Leader of the First Line, Protector of the Flat Zone, the Unburnt, the Breaker of QBs.

Holgorsen: This is Mike Will Grier...He's my quarterback.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Holgerson: This is Mike Grier Mountain Jesus...He's my quarterback.

He's the Pied Piper of WVU

No, not the one who led all the snakes out, the completely dysfunctional one from Silicon Valley

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Didn't the Pied Piper lead the rats out of the town, not snakes?

Either way, the couch fires will keep my Hokie heart warm in the long winter.

Pied Piper, Saint Patrick, same thing, right?

Brace yourself

Burning couches are coming

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

Can't tell if you called him Mike intentionally or not but I am 100% on board with it

His name is squishy

But pronounced [KEH-vihn]

Squishy too!

Even when you get skunked; fishing never lets you down. 🎣

Excellent Finding Nemo reference.

Uhh, yep, totally intentional.

I like Mike.

Mike...i like it too but since I've been reading my son the book "One fish Two fish" I think of this Dr. Suess rhyme

Let's Go

HOKIES

Wait...but that makes Grier the cool one in this analogy...

No, it just means that he knows nothing.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Dude has huge potential that has been flashing the last few years, I am excited to see what he does this year.

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
β€œI served in the United States Navy"

Ejuan Price is 6'0" 255 and had 11.5 sacks in 2015 and 13.0 in 2016 as well as 19.5 and 23.0 TFLs, respectively. (Junior and Senior seasons)

Tremaine Edmunds is 6'5" 250 and resides in a different stratosphere of athletic potential, but hasn't sniffed Price's numbers. I need to see numbers like Price's to say he lived up to his athleticism. Hoping junior year is the breakthrough.

It will be extremely difficult (read: impossible) for Tremaine to reach those numbers. Price was strictly a D-Line pass rusher. His only task was to blitz every single play and get in the backfield.

Glad for him, but I think Terrell is the best of the Edmunds bros. Hopefully both light up the ACC this year and the NFL when they arrive.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

I agree. He's up there for me as far as our all time DB's. Terrell does not get enough praise. He is very good.

Terrell is a beast and way underappreciated nationally. Our best DB with the most upside in my opinion. The dude could also be the first Safety in history to weigh like 265 and still look like he weighs 200. Crazy freak athlete.

I agree but he's gotta be careful of those potential targeting hits. Especially now that he's at the free safety spot. He had a handful last season that were called or could have been.
