Our own favorite punt returner has been named to the preseason watch list for the Piesman Trophy. The Piesman goes to the offensive or defensive lineman who does the most un-lineman thing(s) during the year. Blocking and returning kicks and punts should get him in the mix again this year.

But see, pancakes also have characteristics of pies. Allow me to explain.
Pies are a dough based crust with filling, yes? So if you take strawberries, blueberries and put them on TOP of your pancakes, what you really have is a deconstructed pie no? (Realizing that the consistency of a pancake is more like a soft turnover than a good, hearty pie crust. But you get the gist)

IMO Pancakes are cakes. You can fix them up like a pie, like angel food but they're made entirely of cake (batter).

Ice cream is the only thing that can make cake an okay dessert to eat, so ice cream > cake fo sho.
I'm team pie and all but pancakes are cakes by any definition. You can dress a cake up all you want to make it pie-like but underneath it's still cake. Lipstick on a pig and whatnot.

Don't get too big for your britches, it's only called Piesman because it rhymes with Heisman...has nothing to do with pies. This debate is over anyway: Bud Foster and CJF prefers cake, proving without a doubt that cake rules.
