It's the best of what we have currently and better than most of what we've had in the past. I'm still in favor of a redesign. Some of the fan created schemes on here lately are pretty sweet. I don't like the shoulder stripes or the orange collar we currently have.
That being said, AME was a bad ass choice and I'm excited for them to bring the pain we traditionally bring in this combo.

They used to show more of the jersey and pants when they announced unis previously. These pictures are super zoomed in. Could they be new maroon unis?

Actually, I don't think so now. There's a chance that we still have the same uniforms as last season.

They just confirmed that those are the actual jerseys.
The ACC patch was on the right shoulder last year, so that maroon stripe would be on the shoulder and small piece of white on the bottom right corner would be the number
Unfortunately, I don't think it's a new jersey. I think what we are seeing as a maroon collar is actually the breathable mesh gusset underneath the sleeve. ACC patch is still on the player's right side, stripe above, and the orange collar is just cut off in the picture to the right. Here's a pic of the different material under the sleeve that I think we are seeing.

Personally I don't get why the university keeps trying to get cute when there seems to be so much overwhelming fan support for maroon.
Because it brings in money from purchases by fans, when Nike who gave us a shit monetary contract says hey we are giving you these new uniforms you kind of just say thanks, recruits enjoy them.

It was always gold flakes previously. It looks like orange flakes in the picture, but that might be the lighting. If they changed them to orange flakes, that is a pretty nice touch.
I know they've had specks in them but i guess i never realized they were that big and orange, looked slightly different for some reason. That and the profile pic for @vtequipment has the same orange flake so thought it was a new thing. Thanks!
