Awesome!
Will it be possible to listen/download after? Won't be able to listen live due to work but would love to listen to it as soon as I could after 5.
I know they have a podcast on iTunes. I am not sure if they just put the show recording as a podcast or not. They read our previews and invited me to join. For more information, ping @JeffPostus on twitter. They were very accommodating to me and my schedule and we had a great discussion (except for me talking too much.)
Reminder!
Unfortunately, the provided link is only streaming from the main ESPN broadcast of the Bomani Jones show.Nevermind, its on now
It's on now.
Cool. I am in Charlotte (and it is weird to hear my "voice for newspaper" voice.)
Are they seriously saying Grier will be a Heisman candidate by week 5?
....wow....
They appear to be in the dreamy phase of pre-season, where they can only see the positives, and the future is so bright they have to wear shades.
I think I've already heard them call 4 or 5 of their players on offense as "some of the best players in the nation"
And I want to say 2 of them were at WR
lol and now 5 of the safeties they have on their roster will be playing in the NFL
French are you going to ask them about cake or pie?
I know we get excited here, but lots of faith over there in people that haven't played a snap or played poorly before.
Seriously. They're talking as if they're coming into this season with Alabama, Clemson or Florida State's roster...
French, you represent our TKP community very well. You sound great on radio.
"Grier has a wealth of experience with 6 games and running the scout team last year... Your guy is brand new... Discuss"
French, you're a good man for not pointing that fallacy out.
French is playing down expectations. I like it. Playing into WVU's overconfidence.
"Relax. You guys are as good as you think, and VT has some big question marks."
I would have a hard time biting my tongue on this call.
Right after they spend far too long calling Grier one of the best QBs in the nation (who will be in the national discussion by Week 5) only to turn around and first try to say "isn't Jackson a big problem with his lack of experience" and then literally opening laughing at French when he said our fans have confidence in the QB spot under Fuente.
And man, are they addicted to interrupting French
No pointing out that 2 of the CBs that they were touting about their incredible NFL secondary talent came from current CB Coach Brian Mitchell? weak sauce Cousin lovers
Interviewer likes to interrupt. A LOT.
Did they? they seemed pretty respectful to let French talk as much as he needed to to get his point across, and they even gave him an out on picking a outcome. It is their show after all.
I'm talking about interrupting him with an anecdote in the middle of a sentence.
They were respectful overall, but I found those interruptions a bit annoying. Let the man finish his thought, and then jump in with your anecdote.
Alum07 also noticed this enough to comment on it. Not a big deal, though.
Great Interview.
Great job! I always love hearing your analysis!
75-0? Bold.
Got on late that was the only part I heard.
I thought they were going to make an actual prediction, but sounds like tje young lady making absurd picks is a tradition.
