Miami QB Criticsm

I listen to the local Miami hour of the Dan Le Batard show every morning before the national show starts, they do not seem very keen on the UM quarterback talent from his showing in the first game.

While they won comfortably against Bethune Cookman, they were talking about his poor throws with an eternity in the pocket and his inability to lead receivers.

Many weeks to come, but might be a good sign of things to come. I don't care how talented their roster is, if the QB can't hit targets consistently with good accuracy (with no pressure in his face). That wont be the case when they square up against Foster's D.

I will also add, they claimed this is the least talented QB they've seen start at Miami in 10 years.

Damn, that's saying something

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

but the good news for them though, from what I've heard, is that they're "back"

But, more importantly, Jacory Harris started the other 6.

Meh. It is too early to make a decision one way or another. The Arkansas State game will show a little more and definitely the FSU game week 3 will tell the tale with Miami's QB this year.

I don't care about FSU's QB but if they are questioning Miami's QB right now, no way he survives the FSU defense. I'm counting them down for a loss that game.

Le Batard would complain about winning the Powerball.

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

I'd agree.... but he's typically a voice of reason regarding UM football. He's been calling their team over-hyped for the past 10ish years, and he's always proven right.

Sounds like he'd fit in on TKP.

Those guys also thought N'Kosi Perry would come in and win the job outright, and I think their review of this QB is more or less a testament to their 100% belief the Perry is the savior, and what they saw on Saturday was a disappointment because this guy beat out the star freshman and they expected him to be otherworldly.

In other words, they are still on the N'Kosi Perry hype train.

I bet they would have LOVED Mark Leal.

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

I will never forget how in 2011 Miami was being dubbed as "back". (every year though am i right?) They came into Lane Stadium with Jacory Harris ranked 9th and we were ranked 11th. I stood in the pouring rain all day and watched the ALL MAROON Hokies beat up the Hurricanes 31-7. My rain proof jacket proved did nothing and I was sick for 2 weeks after that game, but it was so worth it!

I gave my wife (girlfiend at the time) my rain jacket that day and ended up friggen freezing. It took me about 45 minutes in a hot shower to actually start getting warmed back up after the game. Obviously it was totally worth it though.

Using /s is for cowards.

Sounds like someone didn't have enough bourbon for game conditions.

If you play it, they will win.

I woke up that morning and looked at the weather forecast and said, "Honey, I think this is a game we should attend."

Luckily, the wife is game for crazy college football experiences. Over the last decade, we've only made a handful of games, but that was as memorable of an experience as you can have.

That game was amazing! We beat up Jacory all night long.

Meanwhile, at the "We don't even need to tell everyone we're back" VT program.....

...our QB is winning Freshman of the Week from CBS Sports with them saying nice things like:

Start him in Justin Fuente's system for a couple more years and the Hokies will have a bona fide star on their hands.
