Custom fitted sport coats with logos embroidered and slacks.. the first big recruit to claim this "cool" and VT's will be on order if they are not already. Looks like it's becoming a "thing" now vs. traveling in a sweatsuit. Look for VT to do this soon

Just another escalation in college football...what a surprise.
Do you have a link for us to check out?
Saw all three on twitter- link to clemson

Swear to god, Twitter links never work for me on the first click. Fuck Twitter so much.
Kids just want to pretend they're in the NFL. The NFL is slowly ruining college football.
I'm the last person with expertise to say what will be a "thing" but while this may appeal to some, I can't help but feel that this will quickly have the same appeal as school uniforms with students.
I'm going the other way. With two teenagers, they would jump at the opportunity to dress up like this before a game. Bow ties are the big thing now...so suit jackets aren't a stretch.
Not arguing. I think some will love it. But I can easily see this either quickly fading as a lot of folks, especially big time recruits/athletes in general, like to show off their individual personality.
Matching sweatsuits makes this hard
It may end up a revenue-positive or at least neutral move. College students and fresh graduates are pretty big market for entry-level suits. It would make sense for someone like Jos. A Bank to sponsor the sports teams.
I think this is pretty cool. A good suit is well worth the investment. Kids can use this outside of football, at job fairs, at interviews, weddings, etc.
I mean, I actually don't hate this at all. A good, tailored business suit can go a long way for years after college. I would fully support VT stocking players with at least one suit per year to fill out the wardrobe post-graduation.
I completely agree. I couldn't tell in the video but the original post indicated it would have school branding on it so that would decrease its usefulness post-graduation.
Is this a real thing?
I can appreciate players having business suits, but it would cost a bundle to dress everyone in every sport in business attire for travel. Plus, how comfortable is this, really?
So I watched the video, does anyone have anymore links or information? I didn't see it being a suit just for Clemson branding so it would be great for the kids after college.
Why the hell would anyone want to wear a suit on a long bus/plane ride? Gimme the sweatsuit any day.
Better business suit than birthday suit I guess
So after talking to a Clemson fan, this is just how Clemson announces their game day uniform. It's their "business suit" for Saturday.

This should be our formal attire before/after games and for all official events:
Cam Phillips can pull that off, but not everyone can.
Are you saying Isaiah Ford couldn't pull of the Copper Suit?
Not that Isaiah Ford, anyway.
Look sharp, dress sharp and feel sharp!
