Yeah the ref was standing right there between them. As one of the PTI guys said today "judge the room." Even though he threw the flag he could have waived it off

Agreed, it is like saying goodbye to a good friend that always brings you down. Would be nice if more people followed suit and they lost all their sponsors and $$$

I agree with the flag 110%. Funny joke or not, it is pretty much the definition of unsportsmanlike conduct to offer a hand up only to pull it away at the last second. The only reason it's not blatantly offensive is that Tyrod is such a good sport and takes it in stride. In these situations the refs can't judge intent, the action stands alone, without regard to those complications, because in slightly different contexts those actions can lead to fights or further personal foul penalties between the teams.
Say two players have a decade long feud and one does this to the other, what you think then?

You can see Von Miller's grin through his facemask. Tyrod even gives him the "dammit, you got me" point. Hopefully Tyrod gave him a bunch of crap about the flag after the game.

I saw a comment on reddit along the lines of "Imagine it was vontaze burfict or another league villain who did this to *insert rookie qb*, everyone would be saying it was an appropriate flag and perfectly just"
I'm not sure how that adds to anything since that wasn't the situation, but I guess I can imagine a situation where something like this would be viewed as justifiably penalized for unsportsmanlike behavior.

Reminds me a little of the 2008 GT game that we won with help from a late hit on Tyrod as he ran to the sideline. I felt pretty lucky to escape that game with a W

He got flagged for that and it was ridiculous. They both thought it was funny. Oh the NFL these days.

I am totally done with the NFL and it feels so good. Not going to watch a single game short of the Super Bowl this year.

then I'm guessing those two players wont be laughing with each other right next to the ref who threw the flag. It's not an objective call
Holy crap, that's flag-worthy?
No.
Yes.
What takes this gif from good to great is Von Miller getting flagged at the end.

No Fun League.
Gotta love Von Miller. Still one of the best commercials an NFL player has done.

Tyrod even said in his post-game presser that he was laughing about the gesture and the fact that it got flagged

Vonn: Gotcha!
Tyrod: Got some o' those yards back!
