Noticed that too. I wouldn't put too much thought into it, because Clemson's helmet looks different too (the paw is smaller than their current helmets, right?). It may have been all they could squander up for the set. However, I would think they would try to get the actual helmets. I hope I'm wrong; those would be pretty cool. Does that mean we'll come out with shoulder-stripeless jersey!?!?

Personally I'm mixed. I'm younger so I never saw Tech play a game in these uniforms and don't quite have the appreciation older alums have, I appreciate the nostalgia factor but at the same time I'm not sure if the wow factor holds up. While simple and clean, i'm not sure if plain works for us since we are not Bama, Penn State, USC, Michigan. All that being said either go all in on the shoulder stripes like LSU or UCLA or go back to the drawing board.

All week I was hoping for the '99 throwback uniforms.

Trust me - there is a "wow" factor.

For some reason when Tech wore those uniforms they looked really sharp and team just looked mean - like a bunch of badasses who beat the shit out of you physically and on the scoreboard.
