Discuss and share any Virginia Tech related recruiting topics from September 2017 [0] that don't warrant their own thread [1]. Please do some digging to share original content (e.g. embed the original tweet, not a link to another post/website with said tweet), add context / relevant information and respect the Community Guidelines.

[0] If someone would like to make this thread from month-to-month, let Joe know, he is apt to forget and pressed for time. Or simply copy the boilerplate and start a new thread.
[1] New offers, commitments, decommitments, etc... deserve their own thread. Please read the brief best-practice tips at the top of the recruiting forum.

The September thread is getting big and with all the 'Croots coming today I think there will be a bevy of recruiting info flying around.

Wouldn't expect tooooo much movement today, this is more of a momentum day with the big guys. I'm thinking one '18 kid (you can probably guess who) and maybe a surprise '19 recruit that gets caught up in the spectacle and pulls the trigger.

This first comment seems to reinforce the type of coach Whit is looking for:

My son is on the wrestling team, and we lost his sister / our daughter last week and buried her this weekend. Despite this incredible recruiting weekend - probably the biggest in the school's history - Coach Robie traveled 10 hours round trip to be with us for services Thursday night. Other coaches and wrestlers were with my son last week and on Saturday. Besides being extraordinary coaches and wrestlers, these are quality people; the type you would hope to have influencing your sons as they continue their wrestling careers and education in college.

Terrible news to hear, but great to see the coaches putting the priority on the athlete rather than the business.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

We went to the Dorman game last night. Jordan McFadden put on a show. I can't wait to see him in a Hokie uniform. Jordan dominated all night long. Go Hokies! Almost time to crush some NC Dreams for Klemson.
