Week 6 Betting Lines

I'm posting this thread to give people a place to discuss the betting lines for this coming week. This is not meant as a replacement for the Pick Six, just something to expand the discussion beyond whatever games CBS lets us pick this week.

The lines I'm listing can obviously change so don't take this as gospel. Also, my random comments are in no way to be construed as betting advice and TKP has no liability here, yada yada yada. Don't make stupid decisions with your money and blame other people.

Some in particular that were interesting to me:
Virginia (-2): I feel like vegas is punishing Duke too much for that Miami loss and giving LOLUVa too much credit for that Boise State win. Maybe this is just a case of wanting LOLUVa to be worse than they are, but this seems like an easy outright win for Duke. Anyone disagree?

Miami-FSU (varies, but I'm calling this one even): Hey Miami, FSU just limped past WF and the betting community at large still won't give you the edge. How's that for being "bak?" I fell like when it comes to betting, too many uninformed gamblers see FSU and think "they're the class of the atlantic, the preseason pick for the CFP" and see Miami and think "I've lost a lot of money betting on Miami over the past few years." I'm not touching this, but fully expect Miami wins it. Then we can crush their hopes more thoroughly come November.

Penn State (-14): Yes, Iowa played PSU close, but they've run roughshod over everyone else on the schedule. I don't think Northwestern this year is the plucky giant killers of yesteryear. Saquon Barkley is like a more electric version of Sam Rogers: he's blowing up the stat lines for rushing, receiving and even has a passing TD. I would be really surprised (and pissed, given what I'm putting on this game) if Northwestern kept it within two TDs.

anOSU (-31): I am not betting on this one, but I just love that Maryland jumped ship to a conference where they are routinely expected to lose by more than 4 TDs.

Georgia (-16): Does anyone honestly believe Vandy has a chance to slow down UGa? The dawgs just handed UTenn their first home shutout since 1994 and we're not talking a 9-0 squeaker. 41-0 in Knoxville is damned impressive and Vandy couldn't even get their shit together against a less than impressive UF team last saturday. Georgia is rolling and Vanderbilt isn't even a speed bump, in my opinion.

Understatement of the season nominee.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

I wondered on Saturday if after the Georgia game we would hear that Butch was fired.

Butch after every game...

NO POLITICS. /s -- pretty crazy his career path.

I thought so too but looks like the AD there has given Butch Jones one more week to see what kind of results he can get out of his team on Saturday against Bye Week.

Just like I don't bet on VT games, I really gotta stop betting on LOLUVa games. After taking the Boise moneyline and the UConn spread, I think I learned my leasson. Duke +2 is sooooo tempting though

I got a nice payday betting on Indiana (-3)...got cocky and lost all that on BSU.

What site do you use?

I use BetDSI

I bet in bitcoin so I use nitrogen sports. But then again, I mine bitcoin so I already have some of that lying around as disposable income.

Georgia (-16)

After watching last week, I'd expect these two lines to be flipped. UMD is very different from Rutgers and has given a bunch of folks fits this year.

I told him I’d crawl on my hands and knees to be the DL coach at Virginia Tech. Now, all of a sudden, I’m sitting in this chair and I told him I’d still crawl on my hands and knees to work here. I just want to be here.

MD is down to their 3rd string QB (again) which is why I think it's that skewed.

Speaking of which, remember how unhappy some people were with the injuries that we were having? MD has been down to a 3rd string and 4th string QB at least 2 different seasons in the last 3 (or 4 years).

Yea that is worse than I thought. Is it bad luck or a poor S&C program?

When it happens once, it's bad luck.
When it reoccurs year after year, it's the process and program.
