What are the odds that the Hurricanes play in an actual hurricane after being postponed because of a major hurricane?
Not good its going to move WAAAAY to far west
Would've been excellent if the game was in Tallahassee
The game on Saturday is in Tallahassee
Would have loved to have gotten Nyheim Hines to come to the good guys.
Shoutout to the NC State student section with the F-B-I chant.
That right there is why we love college sports.
I couldn't quite make out what they were chanting, but figured it was related to this. Glad to see them not let me down.
I wouldn't smirk too much for those students, isn't NC State Addidas and don't they have great basketball recruits going to that school?
The Louisville second half adjustment was to let Hines run until he gets tired.
Some say Hines is still running past Louisville defenders to this day.
Some say Louisville actually has a defense with a pulse, but, generally, this belief is poo pooed by the rest of the CFB world.
Remember when Dave Doeren was supposed to be on the Hot Seat? Because I think he bought himself at least a couple more years after FSU and tonight.
Fans definitely wanted him gone last year, I remember that
November 4th. Circle it.
Miami vs. VT and NC State vs. Clemson.
Winners of those games play in Charlotte. Book it.
I would actually throw up if NC State played Miami in the ACCCG.
Circle it and book it, folks.
And underline it with a sharpie. And maybe highlight it as well.
Those Adidas unis NCST had on were hot garbage. It looked like they used duct tape for the silver stripes and numbers. No wonder Adidas is having to buy people off.
Every Adidas uniform I have seen looks cheap.
This may be the first weekend that I'm actually interested in a televised game at each time block.
I'll like to see how each team truly is in Duke v LOLUVA.
Miami v FSU is what we've waited for to see the bakness but FSU is obviously losing their mojo so we'll see how they rebound after a close fight with Wake. I'm still not convinced Miami is as good as their bakness claims them to be. Duke is the only "quality" team they've beaten/played and again we'll see where duke is the game prior.
And then of course us.
This is first weekend I'll be locked into the couch from 10-10 (noon to midnight for y'all ESTers) watching football and blacking out. Looking forward to it, it's my favorite thing about fall.
FSU has a way of beating da U, even when they are having a down year. Would love to see that continue.
You used to be able to swap out "hokies" for "da U." Glad we put a stop to that.
On gameday herbstriet ( I think) said the last big game da u won was up at Lane in '05. Uggh
Bear said it. Herbstreit was surprised by it.
At least the point of the comment was that the U has not been bak for a long time.
Anyone watch NC State and feel like they are running parts of our offense? Some similar formations and motions?
Their coach recognizes greatness. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Drinkwitz followed Malzahn from Springdale High into college coaching. He's also spent time with Harsin at both ArkState and Boise. Got Findley to come with him to NC State. After this comment, and watching the highlights from last night, I'd say it's more Auburn offense (not sure how different to ours).
Memphis has a kid named Magnifico. Fuente needs to be in his ear about coming to VT as either a grad transfer or assistant. Imagine the memes.
I'll be at a beerfest tomorrow, then finding a bar at 5 to watch the game. Should be a fun day.
REMINDER: APPLEBEES IS DOING 1$ MARGARITAS ALL MONTH.
Might not be top shelf, but...shit, dollar margaritas.
I'd say my Memphis (-13.5) bet was a good call.
Yeah, uconn should be +28 to everyone.
Except ECU or FIU.
TCU is by far my favorite b12 team, but I guess a dark part of my soul is rooting for TD Jesus today.
Hoping that WVU wins their conference is the dirtiest feeling.
At least we can all have that awful feelig together.
#hardthingstogether?
My nominee for Best Gameday Sign:
BAYLOR 0
KARMA 5
Simple. Elegant. Savage. Accurate.
I said the same thing watching the show this morning. By far the best sign today.
So Clemson is pretty good guys...
Welp so much for watching all the games I wanted to. Duke v LOLUVA is blacked out so I can't even watch it on WatchESPN which I think is retarded.
So instead I have to watch UGA steamroll Vandy. Yawn.
Check your local channels it's on the CW here.
Watching loluva-duke on RayCom. This game is awful.
After two weeks in Blacksburg, I am actually at this game. Stadium is not even half full.
C'mon Duke! God I hate that UVA touchdown song.
About to throw up in my mouth.......
Saquon Barkley is getting absolutely shut down by NW in the first half
Northwestern always seems to be that dangerous team that will have a random game where they will play up to a strong team
Duke looks pretty good. UVa looks pretty LOL. Last score was the result of PI calls. If they make it in here, same thing.
Makes Duke's
secondarydefense look pretty suspect."Double shitburger, no cheese, extra lettuce for 'Bronco M.'?"
Edit: heh, maybe we'll hold off on the jokes, this game has been a roller coaster
Second edit:

Yeah, I spoke too soon.
Teams appear to play their worst games against UVa. Nothing to laugh about.
I see Nadouchee's DB's are as proficient at holding while giving up big pass plays, as they were last year.
The Nard Douche generally knows how to play the refs for some no-calls. Maybe they're onto him by now.
Yeah, but they got tagged for PI on SU's last TD (didn't affect the play).
Iowa State giving Oklahoma a game...what happened to Jacob Park? They look good without him
EDIT: looks like Park left ISU indefinitely due to personal health reasons....whatever that means
Don't look now but UVA might actually be halfway decent this year.
I hate that UVa is in winning vs Duke, but I love that Bronco is such a douche.
I have flipped between 4 games so far and every game seems to have terrible announcers.
Did you see the FG call in the E Mich-Toledo game?
I know that there's a way to get the tweet to embed, but I don't recall how and my searching hasn't turned up anything that's useful.
Click the little down arrow in the tweet and select "embed tweet". Simply copy and paste what you see here.
If you're on mobile, you'll need to open the tweet in safari or chrome and then selwct "request desktop site" in the browser's menu. "Embed tweet" will then be available at the down arrow.
Thank you. I knew that it was easy, but I simply couldn't recall how to do it.
Seriously??!?
Ahem:
Cyclone alert in Norman. 21 unanswered for ISU
ISU up by a TD with 2:19 to go. Who would have thought these Cyclones could be so dangerous in Oklahoma?
Anyone else see that WR screen for Iowa State go 57 yards for a TD? GREAT WR blocking.
ISU just went up 38-31 over OU with 2.5 left!!!!!!
Was watching Temp;le ecu for a bit. ecu truly sucks!
edit: Kelly Bryant injured and left the game for Clemson.
I wonder if ISU will plant the flag at midfield.
They Mayfield do exactly that
Edit: sounds like they did ha
oooohhh shit, ISU please don't tease me bby
I was previously worried about Duke, but after watching this today that worry left.
Down goes Oklahoma
With 4 yards to go, why not run Baker Mayfield?
On the 4th&4 he could have run for it 2 different times. That whole last sequence was on him - he missed the crossing route on 3rd&4, too
ISU take over on downs with 1:15 left!!!!!!!!!
Okies choke it!
Gap between Clemson & Bama
...
...
...
and eeeeeverybody else just got a little bigger, y'all.
Kelly Bryant injured his ankle against Wake today... So Clemson might be a little vulnerable now
Oklahoma just blew a 3 TD lead and lost to Iowa State, in Norman. We lost Kevin Dresser to Iowa State, let's not lose Fuente to Oklahoma via loss to the Cyclones... only half /s
Why would Oklahoma fire Lincoln Riley after that game?
He's got 3 years, minimum
They wouldn't. Hence the reason for my half /s. But we should definitely root for him and OU
To quote an ISU player, "WHO YO DADDY?"
Cuse just scored on Pitt on a long TD in which the receiver definitely got away with pushing off and it wasn't called. This is what I live for.
Gotta give them credit.
Duke gets one more chance on offense.
UVA winning makes me sad
Me, too, but it gives Duke another ACC loss.
UVa will have plenty of chances to lose.
I'm okay with it because it gets their hopes up and nothing makes me happier than seeing every hoo lose hope simultaneously.
I'd have preferred that they got another soul-sucking home loss.
But look at the bright side. Maybe they'll extend Mendenhall.
Looks like UVa has a pulse this season
Yay! We get to kill their body in addition to their spirit this year!
UNCHEAT has a 29 year old punter?
That's gotta be against the rules.
Someone call the NCAA.
We found the one guy that actually goes to class... takes 11 years to graduate
To be fair, we have a 20-year-old freshman punter from Australia. NCAA rules are a bit interesting when it comes to people who play other sports (in this case, Australian Football, which itself is a bastardization of American football and rugby).
FSU ruining all over Miami right now. Still scoreless but they've gotten huge chunks on the ground.
Death, taxes, and the WatchESPN app taking a massive shit. Stream keeps pausing for a split second every 10-15 seconds.
The announcer nose game for Miami/Fl St. is strong.
Every other week I can't figure out if Miami's defense is good or not. One week the front 7 lives up to the hype the next a questionable O-line has them on their heels.
But to be honest best who have they played?? I know CUtcliffe has brought Duke back but I don't think they are some powerhouse. I don't think Miami's win over them says that much for Miami.
Did you see Duke lose to LOLUVA? Yeah, the W vs Duke isn't a good one.
That's the problem #coastalchaos makes it hard to figure out these supposed strengths and weaknesses. So duke looks bad with dropping two straight. However, I can't make heads or tails of FSU. Are they actually bad, or has losing Francios been a critical hit, but otherwise they are playing business as usual to a strong defensive Miami team who has an anemic offense?
I think the drop off between Francois and Blackmon is huge. I think their second loss was an emotional one to a stronger than normal NCST. I don't think they beat Clemson with Francois anyways. I'm honestly waiting for Miami to win most of their games convincingly before they are bak.
FSU's not as bad as the 0-2 would have you believe. We saw how good NCSU is and they won a close game in Tallly. Franscois would have had FSU on the good side of teh ledger. As BraggHokie says, even with Franscois, FSU doesn't beat Clemson. I think they would run table in the rest of the Atlantic and would be 50:50 to beat the good guys and da U.
Odd tactic.
Only other choice would be to have a RB or WR try it (prob the better option, if they wanted to keep the RS).
With the onset of rain in Chapel Hill, the UNC-ND no longer counts for this season.
Came here to say the same thing. And right on cue, UNC is marching down the field looking poised to score and then they turn it over, haha.
Michael Jackson intercepting passes for Miami now.
That tacky turnover chain has got to be the most Miami thing ever.
Shapiro needs to be on the sideline to give it out.
WVU muffed a punt by pushing a TCU defender into their own guy. Biggest facepalm moment of the day so far.
That play calling at the end of the half for UNC was mind boggling
UNC is all kinds of terrible in every phase of the game
Aside from Clemson I believe Virginia Tech is the best team in the ACC. If we had more talent and depth it would go a long way. Miami, GT, FSU, Louisville and NCState do not look scary at all.
So who are we rooting for in this FSU/U game?
The U, having them hopefully undefeated for Nov. 4th leads to another big opportunity.
Right?? Miami winning would be better for us however I can't sit and root for them. So I guess FSU for me at least.
You know sometimes when you see 2 people or teams and you just hope they beat the tar out of each other? It's kind of like that. But who do we want to look stronger Coastal or Atlantic? For me I would say Miami due to them being Coastal division.
FSU
Puts us all on even footing in the Coastal in terms of ACC losses. Helps increase our margin of error to get to Charlotte. Plus, I want us to stay the #2 ranked team in the ACC. There is literally a NY6 bowl at stake for the team who finishes there this year.
Only way I could root for da U, is if their W put us in the ACCCG. Other than that f'em.
If you're conservative, you pull for FSU to give VT a bigger margin of error.
Anyone else noticing UNC struggling in the rain? It's too bad their opponents never have to play in it when they do...
Maybe the u is bak?
Blackman for FSU throws lasers at all times. Even on the short routes his passes have so much velocity.
Man entertainment value wise I have split screen going with FSU Miami and Cousins TCU on the other side.
If you want some giggles, you also need the Ohio State Maryland game.
Maryland: NOT bak.
Boy the Cuzzins just got JOBBED on a horrible OPI...
Seems like that was targeting in the Miami-FSU game. More so than a lot of plays that get called.
Braxton Berrios, future Patriots UDFA signee and (o/u) 3-time Pro Bowler
Man it's amazing to see how well FSU has done with how porous their OL is.
I'm still not sure who I want to lose in the Miami FSU game.
I'm still not sure who I want to lose MORE in the Miami FSU game.
Bakness meter falling
Well, it's not boring.
I can't believe there is a real chance FSU doesn't go to a bowl game.
Well, it would help with that pesky asterisk about longest bowl streak.
wvu Coughing up a hair ball today. Thanks so much.
Wrong thread
wrong thread
I think this is in the wrong thread.
Wrong sub-thread
14-3 MSU over Mich with 5 minutes before the half.
Mich St up 14-3 on Michigan
Damnit broke my own record for fast drink. 2 sec
MSU WR just dropped a first down inside the 25 and now they are punting.
The MSU-Mich game is seeing some intense rain.
Did the Michigan QB just flop to draw a 15-yd penalty while in the middle of Sparty's bench?
Yup
Truly amazing that the refs fell for that weak assed act. O'Korn is a true reflection of his coach.
I was kinda hoping UNLV would have a packed out stadium for tonight. Sad feels.
Sparty is really trying to blow this game.
Two words: Fuck Michigan
Not sure where else to put this, but:
Miami RB Mark Walton (ankle) is out for the season.
Never like to see a player go down via injury, but that changes things for them...
I am sad to say, I breathed a little sigh of relief. Miami has run well against us the last couple times out.
