Virginia Tech #15 in Week 7 AP Poll, #17 in Coaches Poll

Virginia Tech moves up a spot from last week to #15 in the AP Poll and up two spots in the Coaches' Poll to #17. Oklahoma and Michigan dropped to #12 and #17 respectively and Louisville, Florida, Utah, and West Virginia all dropped out of the AP Top 25.

LOLUva checking in with zero votes (AP poll)

They got 5 votes in the Coaches' Poll. They really are back... /s

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

Give them a damn number next to their name. We need more road wins against ranked opponents.

I love a good nap. Sometimes that's all that's getting me out of bed in the morning.

Hey, it works in the SEC...

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

And the BIG10. I mean come on, after last bowl seasons conference turn out, how can so many of those teams that lost their bowl game start in the top 10 this year.

In all seriousness, I think there's a possibility they end up ranked by the start of November. Their next three games are UNC, BC, and Pitt. I hate to say it, but UVa looks better than all three of those teams right now.

On the bright side, I suspect they'll hit a buzz saw at the end of their season. GT, Lville, Miami, and us are their final 4 games.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Jet Sweep

I agree; I don't see them losing any of their next three. Maybe Pitt, but I doubt it. I'll be in Charlottesville on the 24th and as long as we keep that streak alive, I could care less about the rest of their wins.

I wouldn't be opposed to them cracking the top-25. Yeah, it's fun watching them blow. However, it would also be fun to see this rivalry actually be a rivalry for once. Wouldn't hate a top-25 match up in prime time Thanksgiving weekend.

However, it would also be fun to see this rivalry actually be a rivalry for once

As long as that rivalry always ends 38-0 each year
