iPhone Spam from TKP

I would say 7 out of 10 times I open TKP, I my phone gets a message saying I have a virus and need to click on such and such website to get rid of it. It is only when I access it from my iPhone.

I'm having the same issue, only started recently.

It is only when I access it from my iPhone

I've identified your problem

The team cake vs team pie of smartphones.

wonder if there's a correlation between desserts and phone OS

I've never had this happen on my iphone and that probably accounts for 40% of the time I'm on here...though, I seem to remember Joe saying he disabled all ads for TKPC members so that could be why.

Warning: this post occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors)..

Another benefit of TKPC... no phishing BS ads!

That is correct, the only advertisements TKPC get are direct buys from site sponsors. TKP vets those and is completely in control of the content.

I get a similar ad on my Android phone- usually for a Walmart or Amazon giveaway.

As I pulled up this article I got the pop up. It's like it has become self aware

Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies

I am getting this as well almost every time on iPhone and iPad

Jeremiah 29:11 and Go Hokies!

it happens to me on snopes now too.... its spreading. luckily TKPC saved this site for me.

I've been getting LOLUVA ads on TKP for a while now. What the hell is going on?

Don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride.

It only comes up on the main Key Play web page. If you go straight to the tracker web page, you only get the on page ads that are fine.

As I mentioned before, these type of overzealous ads creep into various ad networks from time to time and I unfortunately have little control over them, so there is not much to be done on my end.

I would have just blamed it on their rampant usage of porn sites.

I mean, I have these spam issues on TKP from time to time and that explanation would've made all the sense in the world.

Ahem...he means scientific research, folks.

Nothing to see here

There's a correlation between electromagnetic fields and ghosts, especially when browsing pr0n doing scientific research.

This can only be caused by surfing sketchy Russian porn sites.

Deposit whiskey, receive wisdom.

In Soviet Russia, sketchy porn site surf you!

That sounds kinky....

....the fascinating things we got to see because of this show.

GOD BLESS

You may want to try clearing your HIstory and Website Data in Safari. Seems to fix this when it has happened to me. Generally seems to happen after visiting a clickbait site. I'm guessing a sketchy ad puts a cookie on your phone that cause more sketchy ads to load.

Same

Same

But I thought Apple products don't get viruses?

Spam isn't the same as viruses, but I'm sure we all get that.

I literally just got my first iPhone ever Tuesday. Was working off of an S4 since October of 2013. It was a stud, but it was time to retire the old girl.

Holy shit, you were really holding out. This is quite the upgrade for you

It's a little bit of a learning curve with the android os being pretty rudimentary. Like riding a bicycle to racing the isle of man

I was running an S4 from october '13 until early may when I upgraded to a pixel. S4 served me well until it started having wifi-connectivity and call-dropping issues
