OT: (Not So) Most Interesting Man In The World

Is it just me or have these commercials devolved into complete stupidity by adding that new doofus in a addition to the doofus who replaced the Most Interesting Man In The World?

Yes. They jumped the shark when they switched guys.

Gotta know when to say, "that was good for a while but it's time to let it go." Like Bud did between 2003 and 2004. Like PJ did when... Oh. Wait.

I thought this was some Michael Phelps joke as I thought the new "Most Interesting Man" looked like a bearded Michael Phelps.

I think it's funny that they made a huge deal out of replacing the original most interesting man in the world only to hire the most boring man in the world.

POW!

Rob Riggle is annoying, not funny. He is a retired Marine Corps Reserve, so I will give him props for that.

But he isn't funny.

I would like to see Old Spice get some better ads as well. They used to be amazing and have seemingly fallen off.

You will see this game, this upset and this sign next on ESPN Sportscenter. Virginia Tech 31 Miami 7

His decision was made after a phone call with longtime Virginia Tech assistant coach Bud Foster. All Foster told him was, "We win. They don't."

I think Riggle is funny. His Espys monologue a few years ago was great....Fox nfl...ehhh.

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

I honestly don't understand the thought process that led to them keeping the ad campaign but switching actors. How did they think this was gonna go?

They shouldn't have replaced him. What they should have done was just have some normal, boring schmuck in the commercials but when he picks up a Dos Equis, hilarious, crazy events happen and everyone around him goes nuts like he's "The Most Interesting Man in the World" while he sits there dumbfounded. The implication being Dos Equis makes you awesome.

There. Enjoy your pitch, companies. Just call me Don Draper. Now pay me millions of dollars.

On a somewhat related note, any thoughts on the commercials for Pistachios (lol???) that are basically bizzaro version of the Dos Equis commericials?

Little Caesars is killing the TV advertising game. I love how cynical their commercials are. Meanwhile, Geico can go to hell.
