Fuente and Foster

I know I'm late to the party, but I somehow just found out that both Foster and Fuente played at Murray State.

Maybe that's why they have so much chemistry.

Ummmmm...

Old news?

...which is why he said, "I know I'm late to the party". Use your reading skills, Vtkey.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

Yeah, I saw that. It was just my way of saying "Is this really worth starting a new thread over?"

That said, I was trying to be helpful, not offensive, though I sometimes struggle with the concept.

It's all good man, I knew what you meant.

However, it just bothers me when I read these statements from the "forum police" every now and then similar to yours: "Is this really worth starting a new thread over?" Maybe to you it isn't, but maybe to him or someone else it is. Maybe it isn't at all, but we're entitled to post any non-offensive thread we want. If someone wants to put up an OT thread about the declining price of yarn in Central America, they can have at it. Just read it (or not) and move on.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

Yarn prices are declining? Buy! Buy it all!

I tried to find a GIF from the Office blooper reel (Season 2 I think) where Michael asks his next door neighbor if he's a yarn salesman. That one had me rolling on the floor. Lemme see if I can find it; hold please.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

Preach! Couldn't agree more.

I've never understood this whole "why start a thread?" thing that some of yall keep touting. Are we limited to a certain number a day? You literally don't have to comment if you think it is a worthless thread.

was that really worth posting a comment over KK

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

"You don't do the budget Terry, I do"

It's a great question.

It's not that anyone wants to restrict the number of electrons bouncing around the internet, wants to judge people's threads, or wants to be the thought police.

It's just that a topic is a better bet for a thread if it includes a thought-provoking idea that is entertaining to this community, has some content, and is not covered in some other thread.

Who are you to speak for the community on what's appropriate for a thread? This thread has 43 comments and is +10. If the community doesn't think a topic is worthwhile, there wouldn't be a discussion. We see that frequently. Just let the market drive the discussion.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

I see it as encouraging people to improve the "signal to noise ratio". Besides that, this post violates many of the community guidelines: vague title, lacking in content, irrelevant (at least really dated) information. Someone chose to create a post with the content of a comment.

It's not about some limit on the number of posts. It's about trying to keep average quality of posts higher than other sites.

Warning: this post occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors)..

Then don't comment. We see threads every day that end up with 2 or 3 comments because the community deems it unworthy of discussion. But clearly it didn't think that about this thread. It's the off-season. There really won't be any breaking news threads popping off to drive discussion. TKP isn't a unique online forum, it works the same way as every other one. It isn't a zero-sum formula.

This was my whole point. I really get tired of people policing this forum like there's some magic formula that has to be followed to have a thought become a comment. The way I see it, unless someone's going full Arnie, talk about whatever's on your mind. And this topic didn't violate any "signal-to-noise" ratio.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

I know I'm late to the party, but I somehow just found out that both Foster and Fuente have a Y chromosome!!

Maybe that's why they have so much chemistry.

You're exactly right! They also both have an X chromosome (think back to Biology), adding even more to their chemistry.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

No one is policing. The community here largely monitors itself, so these are suggestions on how to TKP better as per the guidelines. No need to get upset about it. This post is the epitome of the signal to noise issue Joe mentions because beyond making a personal comment there is no substance.

This is also one of the main reasons for the tracker. Have a quick check to see if its been posted before or if there is an existing house for your comment before posting. This post is not something to get upset about, but neither is the suggestion that it could simply be a comment.

God damn. The serial anonymous downvoter needs to grow a pair and either stop or step out into the light. Opinions for the most part are not downvote worthy, period.

Unless the opinion is Christmas Story is better than Christmas Vacation. 👀

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

What if the serial anonymous downvoter was a female member of TKP?

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

Well put. I'm not upset; I just didn't like seeing the poor guy getting chastised.

I agree that this was lacking in content and didn't warrant a new thread topic, but if you read through the initial comments, there were no "suggestions on how to TKP better as per the guidelines," rather just passive-aggressive remarks about this being old news. Anyway, I think we've beat this to death; let's move on.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

However, the thread did evolve into a worthy read, IMO.

Haha, this has been entertaining for sure. Btw, your comment above was gold Deuce. Kudos.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Maybe that's why they have so much chemistry.

Like both coaches are committed to keeping the score low on their respective sides of the ball?

I just spit out my coffee. That was savage.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

HCJF doesn't have a side of the ball

Free Hugh

I think he owns both sides of the ball.

None, both, same thing. Saying he owns a respective side is incorrect.

I understand that Fuente is an "offensive mastermind" - anyone remember mention of "CornFu" when we were scoring points?

Wow. I would have thought marriage proposals.

Does she realize how many fish born parasites there are out there?

Welp I'm not eating sushi ever again. Thanks?

Yeah. After seeing that, I feel pretty Crappie.

I'd be so eel if I got sick on a roller coaster

I'm filled to the brim with reasons not to eat sushi.

The fact that Japan has one of the longest life expectancies in the world and their diet is constantly held up as one of the pillars for that I'll ignore all the reasons to not eat sushi.

This isn't a serious strand.

I'll give you some time to mullet over.

This is the proper way to mullet over:

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

...is that what you guys like?

Well, not every thread can go plaid.

That said, it is fun seeing how everyone in sports is only 1 or 2 degrees of separation away from each other.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Well, not every thread can go plaid.

Yes they can with this one easy trick!

Well played or should I say plaid!

I was gonna start a new thread, but y'all skeered me off. I'll just ask the question. Did any of y'all know that Frank Beamer used to coach at Murray State? Since it was before many of you were born.... ok, /s
