I figured this could use its own thread. One of my favorite games of the year although admittedly the ceremony and atmosphere are more exciting than the football itself. It's a shame the weather cancelled the flyovers though. Also, props to army for the well planned all whites in a snowstorm. And since I know a few midshipmen, go Navy, beat Army!

Those Army uniforms are 🔥💯🔥
The Navy ones would be too if the helmets matched
Yeah, that's an odd choice. Army gets bonus points for wearing the Panda Commando unis in the snow.
I love how they trick the overlay graphics processing. Kinda cool to see a defensive end "cloak" as he goes upfield.
Pando Commando named for Pando Station near the 10th Mountain's training base.
Nike > UA

Go Navy!!
Revenge time Mids, start a new win streak!
Army Navy in the snow is a must watch.
Total passes:
Army = 0
Navy = 2
GO NAVY - BEAT ARMY. I love Navy being a Navy brat...and it warms my heart knowing that UVA will get creamed in their bowl by Navy.
GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!
SING SECOND!
GO NAVY!!
Soft spot for the Navy since my father retired Navy. He served in both the Army and Navy though.
Air Force is playing the Coast Guard tonight!
ARMY! TWO IN A ROW. ONE MORE AND THAT'S A STREAK.
As an impartial American I could not have asked for a better game. Bad conditions, tough play, close score. I mean what's not love???
I walked away for a second on the after game show but how did Mendenhall and UVA come up?
I didn't see it but I'd imagine the Military Bowl
Makes sense.
Great game. Glad to see Army hold on for the win. Went to the Infantry Officer Basic Course with the last QB to beat Navy before the current one.
GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!
A SPC-5, Green Beret (Combat-Wounded, '67) I know, went too. He's a Husker Alum. Like the rest of Nebraska's fanbase, he's nothing but pure class.
HOOAH! Army wins! A great birthday dinner gift to my Ranger Dad
Now I expect the Middies are gonna take out their anger, on the Hoos
I certainly hope so.
Always pull for the Middies but what a great game! All those players are so smart / tough!
It was a great game, I have to be impartial. Uncle was Air Force in Nam, One Brother in Law was Naval Commander, and the other brother in law is an Army Sarge.
I understand your impartiality. I am a Navy brat, dad was a 20 year man, mom also served in the Navy during WWII. I, on the other hand, served in the Army. Truth is, I was a somewhat reluctant soldier and while it likely did me a world of good, I can recall fewer happier moments in my life than when I was finally out of the service altogether. That being the case, I gladly support the Academy, where I was born by the way, and probably always will. Good game yesterday, but it's not to early to be thinking of next year. Go Navy, beat Army.
I root hard for Navy during the game, but boy is it fun to make fun of the boat school grads at work when they lose. Also, if they lose again next year, I'd expect to hear rumblings of hiring Paul Johnson back.
I went tailgating out there. Had a good time in the snow! Go ARMY!
Is this game replayed anywhere? I'd love to see the ending.
Thanks!
Found a fascinating piece of trivia when looking up the Commander in Chief's Trophy: Air Force has won this trophy much more than either Army or Navy ! I suspect the reason is that they actually HAVE AN AIR GAME and pass the ball occasionally !
True, but who cares? People actually give a shit about the Army Navy game.
Was just trying to find out why Army won last year's game with Navy without winning this trophy last year also. Not saying anything bad about Army/Navy tradition.
Sorry if my post made it seem that I thought that. Was just ragging on the AF a little, just a flippant comment I probably shouldn't have made. I never thought you were saying anything bad about the Army/Navy tradition. Have a leg and my apology.
One never need apologize for ragging on the AF.
yeah they have an air game but only because they force it
Having the nicest Service installations and creature comforts doesn't hurt, either.
