I have noticed alot of players fail to put their hand over their heart during the N.A......After the video that made the rounds a few years ago w/ Buzz instructing players to stand up right, and place hand over their heart, I'm confused as why this is no longer happening ?

This is a good question. If people are actually singing the whole anthem and place a personal point of emphasis for fandom reasons, I'm ok with that. I have always enjoyed singing the anthem, but I will not be pressured or in any way shamed for whatever I do or don't do during the anthem. I served my country, and while the anthem is a great way to start the contest, it is superfluous to the game. Nor, in my opinion, is it anyone's business but my own how I choose to observe it, or not. If we want a lock step nation, we need only look at North Korea for inspiration. Tell you what, I'll respect however you want to observe the moment, I'd ask for the same from you..

Correction: The Braves WERE America's team until 2004 when every "fan" who never gave a shit about baseball, became a Red Sux fan when they won the WS for the first time nearly 100 years...and became the biggest bandwagon outside of Massachusetts.
"America's Team" came about when TBS carried almost every Braves game on TV from sea to shining sea.
Coincidentally, 2004 was during the period when TBS began broadcasting less than half of the games every season, alienating the vast majority of the fanbase. The Red Sox historically knocking off the [expletive] [expletive] Yankees was an extra perk that year.

I would prefer this video not be shared because it seems like it always starts popping up with click baity headlines like "this team disrespected the anthem so their coach did this" and blah blah blah. That was never the case. Buzz made it clear that this wasn't in response to them disrespecting the anthem but people ran with it anyway and it painted our players in a light they didn't deserve.
