I think this is a poor interpretation of a "vague at best" comment from Willard on 247 that said that CJF was missing one of his tools for the next game...somebody replied "Phillips Screwdriver" (which would be perfect Willard BTW). I think it was in reference to TMac transfer

Wait. What? MacMillian is transferring? When did this news break? How does it not have its own thread? Or did I just completely misinterpret your comment?

Absolutely legit, and in the interest of good sportsmanship, we should make sure as soon as possible that the OSU coaching staff knows they don't have to worry about defending Cam. Nope, not at all, just take that part of the gameplan out entirely.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Long story short... someone said something cryptic on other websites that we would be missing a big piece of our offense for the bowl game. Some speculated that it was Cam due to injury, others have said McMillian has decided to transfer and won't play. Nobody knows... there is no real explanation.

Are you sure? I doubt he can throw 6 INTs in a half! That's what the Bills wasn't right? INTs. Because that's the only thing my man T-Mobile wasn't doing.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
The Bills just want someone who's willing to make some tough throws in traffic. Logan's got a big arm, so if given the opportunity I'm sure he could throw some highlight reel worthy picks.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I agree being hurt really set him back. I think the extra practice time along with getting josh healthy will help. its unfortunate for phil that he started getting burn right around the same time our offense got anemic. though no fault of his own.

I just don't see all of a sudden Patterson breaks out for this one game with all the other freshman that have seen the field almost all season like Savoy for example
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
the reason I think this (and only if cam doesn't play) is because Patterson (and kumah) are best suited to play the X wr and are much better (at least potentially) at 1 on 1, back shoulder, fade routes, and jump ball type plays than cam but for the majority of the season Cam has been the one receiving these balls (outside of the last drive of the GT game) the coaches obviously trust cam a lot more than these guys I think the extra practice will help and get them and JJ more on the same page. we saw some instances late in the season when JJ would throw them the ball (most notable PITT game) and WR would look on the inside and ball would be outside and vise versa. its about time we get those issues cleared up.

I'm not sure when it will come out, but who knows if Fuente will list him.
The injury hasn't been listed here in the comments - I'll just say that. I don't know the specific item, but I know the location and Cam should be fine moving forward in his career.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
That's ashame. Also needed 9 catches to get the season receptions record, which would have given him the trifecta of the game, season, and career receptions records.

Long story short, parents are from Philly and grew up watching the Birds long before the Panthers existed. Hard to give up old allegiances, but being born and raised in NC, I have been a fan there since the start. Everyone gives me crap for it, but I really don't care, not like either has won a damn thing. π
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
But we have Nick Foles! He's the greatest QB of all time. Okay fair point, he's borderline HOF. Yeah that's true, he's really good though. I guess, he's okay. Well yeah, he has a chance to be serviceable. Yup, We're screwed. At least he's got a cool video??
tell me about it. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're still in a very good spot to make the Super Bowl, and once you're there anything can happen. They've effectively got the top seed wrapped up (1 more win gets the bye, another win clinches the division, and the remaining is @ NYG, Raiders, Cowboys) so they'll have home field throughout, and will only need to win 2. Defense and running the ball win in the playoffs, and the Eagles can do both very well. If Foles isn't terrible they could still make this work. Hell, if the likes of Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, Joe Flacco, and 2015 Peyton Manning have a ring, no reason Foles can't make it happen, too.

But the Birds are why I've not been commenting here as much, I've been so wrapped up in their dream of a season so far. And just when I think this is the year there is no other shoe to drop.....I believe in Foles. I think we could still see some real fairytale shit here coming up.
Although we probably won't because Philly
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
If Philly was going to do it, it would absolutely be in a complete blue-collar next man up kind of way.
That said, when you think about what they've dealt with this year, its really remarkable they're even going to get that #1 seed. Darby was out for 2/3 the season. Sidney Jones, who was supposed to shore up the safety position, hasn't even played yet. Jason Peters has been out half the year. Jordan Hicks has been out for half the year. Darren Sproles has been out all year...
I mean, they've been gutted by injuries at key positions that would normally make any other team fall back, and they've been getting better. They might not win it all this year, but damn, knowing how hurt they were this year and how good they still were, thats a franchise that might be at the top of the NFC for a very long time going forward.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I completely agree. The front 7 alone is enough to keep the team in the hunt. And it's not as if Foles is Tom Savage. For me the key to the rest of the year for the Birds is the secondary. They've benefited so much from only having to cover receivers for only two seconds. I haven't been super impressed with their performance when the pass rush isn't effective. And as always, the O-line needs to give Foles time.
FifthFuller-esque prediction incoming! Birds win the super bowl over Brady 31-27. Draft Tremaine 32nd in April, followed by Fayscon in the 3rd, Cam in the 5th and Stro in 6th. Cam wins offensive rookie of the year, making every GM that passed irate, Tremaine wins D-rookie of the year and the Eagles repeat going 19-0 behind a healthy Wentz
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I was reading a BleedingGreenNation article not too long ago about the possibility of getting Edmunds in the draft, and the consensus was that it would be such a luxury pick if they made it, mainly because they're actually pretty good at LB as it is. I couldn't argue too much there, but man, that would be a solid defense for the long haul if they got him. I'm thinking they're probably more likely to focus on LT in the draft, assuming Peters calls it a career this offseason, because the depth behind Vaitai (who is pretty good in his own right) is... ugly. (its funny reading comments on BGN about how bad the Eagles OL is.... ummm, no. That OL is actually pretty good. Bad OL is what is aired on our TVs down here every week when the Panthers are playing)
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Yeah, its been funny reading those boards. Living in NC, I'm very distant from the Negledelphia mindset, but holy hell, its like everyone started committing Seppuku as Wentz walked to the lockers. Not going to lie, I was a little on the ledge there myself, but read a few of the national pieces and listened to a few of the industry experts over the days since, and I'm feeling better about this. Foles might be one of the best backups in the league, and who knows how good he really is. He had that one great year with Chip Kelly, and then went to St. Louis and got Jeff Fisher'd. Given how Keenum is playing this year, there's a possibility the team could still play at an incredibly high level with Foles, with Fisher just being that bad. Everything I'm hearing is that the Eagles will miss Wentz's ability to make something out of nothing with his legs, but they should be ok going forward, with Foles being a little more accurate with his throws.

but not bitter or any other media outlet? from everything ive heard rumored its an ankle. but ive not heard one person say they've seen cam on crutches or a boot or anything on campus? sauces have said no injury or surgery and sauces have said yes injury and surgery. I need something concrete!
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Bitter isn't going to run a story until he gets confirmation. He doesn't buy into the muppetry you see on fan sites with regards to injuries, coaching searches, recuiting, etc.

My sauce says Cam was told he would need ankle surgery and it was his call if he wanted to get it immediately after the LOLUVa game and be close to recovered by the combine or wait til after the bowl game and miss the combine entirely. He chose earlier surgery.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
If that is the case then he did the right thing by getting it over with. They must have put him in the witness protection program then or put him up at the safe house.

Very sporting...give the mullet a chance this way
what are these words
Mike Gundy has a mullet.
These words imply that without Cam, OK State has a chance to win.
Any links or support you could link in OP? That might help make the post a bit better.
Talked to a football player tonight at the basketball game and was told Cam was not injured, so hopefully this is just a bad rumor.
^^#sauces^^
Thank you
Poop has the poop!
So he is the Pooper Scooper?
If he is the slightest bit injured I have no qualms with him sitting out. He's got bigger plans than our bowl game.

My sauces which were fairly good for the LOLUVA game with Savoy haven't mentioned this.
I think this is a poor interpretation of a "vague at best" comment from Willard on 247 that said that CJF was missing one of his tools for the next game...somebody replied "Phillips Screwdriver" (which would be perfect Willard BTW). I think it was in reference to TMac transfer

When I saw everybody agree, with no further confirmation from" Willard," I knew this was going to go all California.
Yeah and it almost left me feeling Minnesota.
Gotta give a leg for outshining.
You two just became my best friends.
I'm not asking.
Hope you're feeling California
Wait. What? MacMillian is transferring? When did this news break? How does it not have its own thread? Or did I just completely misinterpret your comment?
People were speculating in another thread
I was wrong, this was "message board-confirmed" on 247 yesterday...Cam had ankle surgery and his VT Career is over.
WTF?
Damn, he even broke his OWN ankles?
This will always get an upvote from me.
I was delighted to see that in-person
Me too
I was impressed with the turnout of Hokies at O'Hare, alone, the day before.
But I really should have brought a substantial overcoat
Bro, you gotta put a /s on these things

Wait... Oklahoma State plays DEFENSE now? Since when?
One of my best friends went to OKSt. During the OU game we had the following exchange:
Me: Do any of you people play ANY defense?
Ms. Pokie: No defense in the Big 12. All offense. It's a shitshow.
How long have they been on step one?
This dropped in another thread. who knows.
Can someone please explain all of this? I can't find anything.
Long story short... someone said something cryptic on other websites that we would be missing a big piece of our offense for the bowl game. Some speculated that it was Cam due to injury, others have said McMillian has decided to transfer and won't play. Nobody knows... there is no real explanation.

that's already happened. logan back to QB would be breaking news. im sure hes better than petterman.

Wrong on all accounts! Especially the last one.
I'd bet my mortgage on OSU if that was true
I wouldn't. I have a gut feeling its going to be a phil Patterson coming out party.
I think a lot of us was hoping for that since spring ball

...of 2016
I just went back thru VT Scoop to middle of November and see nothing about Cam having surgery.
Damn that's a lot of clicking through slide shows. That site is my 2nd most hated website format for articles/posts (behind LeSabre LOLUVA of course)
I will ask Cam myself. I will need 3 weeks to get an answer though.
Guys guys guys. The numbers always work out...am I using that right?
Still one of the best troll jobs.
Cam is out. Already had surgery.
I'm not good at knowing recruiting info, but I have good #sauces when it comes to injuries.
This really sucks because he was so close to 1000 yards.
OH DAMN! When does the official injury report come out? Surgery for what ailment if you can say without violating privacy.
