The transformation of GSIII and AM is complete:
Most Valuable Player – Senior CB Greg Stroman has been a big-play threat in the secondary and as a punt returner throughout his Tech career. His 384 punt return yards are the second-highest total in the nation, while his two punt return TDs tied for the ACC lead. He ranked third in the ACC with four INTs, including one which he returned for a 24-yard touchdown at Georgia Tech. Stroman was also voted the team's top defensive back.
Outstanding Senior Award: Andrew Motuapuaka provided steady leadership for a defense that concluded the regular season ranked fifth in the nation, allowing 13.5 points per game. The Hokies also led the nation with a 46.9 opponent completion percentage, while ranking second in the nation on third down at 25.1 percent. His 85 total tackles ranked second on the squad.

Totally off topic, but I wanted to take this chance to thank Joe for putting together such a great site. Meanwhile over on leSabre, they finally let you post pictures and links from convenient and oddly familiar little buttons next to the text box...
Not to take away from Joe's work, but those are stock icons you can find in plenty of kits online.
Yeah I know. Just couldn't resist another swipe at lesabre. Still ridiculous that they are just now implementing this and I've never not known TKP to have them.
My son still makes fun of me for getting wires crossed watching a game. I'm still crediting Adibi and Moore for making tackles, Royal and Boone for making catches, etc. Not sure Motuapuaka will roll of the tongue like these guys, but you may hear may me credit Stro for a few plays for years to come, especially if they recycle #4. Really appreciate these guys stepping up, and proving they are not too small to be great Hokies!!!
Well-deserved. Over the course of his career, Motu has equal parts driven me absolutely crazy and absolutely ecstatic. He's been a solid Hokie through and through, though.

Agreed- he has been a great Hokie, despite being maligned a couple years ago by the fanbase. I love him getting the honor, but have they gone away from this being a "special teams" award? Motu doesn't play much on special teams, if at all.
No he's out there on ST every play. Has done a great job several times on punt coverages.
Motu might be my favorite Hokie ever. Forced into service before he was ready, the target of massive criticism from the fanbase, but he just kept plugging away and then in his senior season found himself at the heart of one of the best defenses I can remember Bud fielding. Dude's got a lunchpail mentality. He'll be missed.
Man I love stroman. I'm gonna miss seeing him on the field next year. Dude was fantastic in the return game and was fearless. That and getting to watch him develop into an excellent db was awesome. Hope he makes it at the next level
I'm quite sad that Stroman will be gone. I like that guy a lot. Manassas what.
