Both defenses were tremendous, however I don't think the offenses were that bad based on the function of the defensive play alone. Both teams had trouble moving the ball, then finishing drives, especially Alabama. The quarterback play was shoddy. I do think Les is the best big game coach in college football right now, because he can navigate through chaos better than anyone else. Probably because he's creating it all.

What did everyone else think?

Is also probably the luckiest college football coach of all time. Friend and I were joking before the game that he had Alabama, unless the game came down to an LSU Hail Mary. I guess having your opponents miss field goals is pretty lucky too.
I did think that the offenses were absolutely terrible though. Trent Richardson did virtually nothing, and even Kent State and Kentucky managed touchdowns against these defenses..
QB Play
Looked really shoddy for Bama and their kicker really sucked too. They did not deserve to win, but neither did LSU.
Honestly I hope we have Saban looking like this in two years if he is still at Bama- may take another opening in the NFL from what I understand. Please let it be an AFC East team not named the New York Jets. He'll run them into the ground just like Miami.
Umm...
Considering Chan Gailey or Bill Belicheck aren't going anywhere, I think the AFC East is a no go for Saban - Miami ain't making that mistake again.
Oh I know
But one can dream...one can dream.
