Give em Hell, Edmundii
good for them. best of luck to both
Best of luck to both of them, hope they both have great NFL careers. We went from no depth at safety to lots of depth at safety in one year. I feel good about Hunter, Floyd, Deablo back there, especially with Deablo at free.
Don't sleep on Ladler as well.
I like Ladler a lot, just thought of those three first.
I think Ladler is 4th best safety but will still get some solid PT, especially depending on how Deablo comes back from injury.
We seem to have an abundance of strong safeties but Deablo is the only one who has shown a lot range and comfortability moving around in free safety type space.
That's true, despite film evaulations will be interesting to see if Hunter could play FS if Deablo gets hurt. But I agree the Deablo looked like an NFL free safety from some of his plays before the injury.
Positioning-wise absolutely. He's got the speed in vision to make a play on balls that he should and balls that you would never think he could. He just needs to make the play when he's there (which I don't think will be a problem to develop).
bALLS
Here's hoping the Saints take them 1/2.
This is oddly hypnotic...

My all time favorite!
Tremaine looked like a baby in this clip. My goodness.
Here is hoping that no Hokie ever has to go play for those Aint's. I do hate to root against Hokies.
Here is hoping they have tons of success.
I hope they both make the big bucks and become perennial pro bowlers.
#RELL MONEY
Go git you sum da CA$H MAHNEE!
Bright side: Tremaine is probably going to get a lot of national love.
Downside: our returning linebacker Corps has a total of 3 tackles
I'm excited to see what Rivers brings to the table.
So I'm hoping we get a post spring game article from French or someone that goes through the roster at that time and identifies probable two deep on defense. Sounds like the backfield might be OK. I'm concerned about depth at linebacker and on the DL. Admittedly, I don't know enough about the team to know who the players were behind Settle and the Edmundi, so perhaps we're better there than I'm feeling at the moment.
Regardless, here's to hoping Settle and both Edmunds ball out at the next level and make lots of cash. Good dudes I was proud to have in a Tech uniform.
Fullwood, Burke, Hewitt and Taylor were the primary depth behind Walker and Settle.
If I've gleaned recruiting reports correctly, Rivers and Ashby shaping up for Mike, Griffin amd Kearney at Backer. I think Tisdale at Backer, and Artis at Mike for the currently committed freshmen.
Rivers will probably be Backer along with Griffin. Ashby probably atop imaginary depth chart for mike along with Kearney and Artis and hopefully Dax.
FTFY.
We have lots of talent potential in our lb group . I'm excited to see them grow
Why you gotta bring White Fang into this
Best of luck, guys. Really appreciate everything you've done.
Meanwhile, I'm gonna go cry in the shower.
Best of luck to them both. Go get 'em.
This post deserves way more legs. Hell, it got me to order the DVD. With the Olympics coming, it'll be a good watch with the kids.
It's on Netflix! Just watched it last weekend
Well, shit.
did you say luck? I know just the thing.....
Did you all know Zimbabwe has a women's bobsled team competing in the Olympics this year?
Excellent, I have been awaiting "Cool Runnings 2"
My face after seeing this

I wish them all the luck in the world. However... this was how I felt when I heard the news:

Good luck fellas! We'll miss you!

Seriously though, best of luck to the both of them. Here's hoping they kick all the ass.
Always have to upvote Conchords
Go get paid, gentlemen.
I wanted them to stay, but I can understand the reasons to go. Best of luck to them and continue to represent the Hokie Nation in the NFL.
No surprise. Enjoyed watching them play. Best of luck T-squared!
On to the next pair/trio/quartet of Hokie Football Bros. I hope to be following their NFL careers for a long time!
This makes me unhappy and happy at the same time
I hate seeing them go, but we knew this day would come.
Best of luck to you, Edmundii, and thanks for your contributions. It's been great!
Best of luck to them. Will always root for them no matter what.
Tangentially related announcement, if there are any 5 and 4 star Linebackers still uncommitted, PLEASE come to Virginia Tech. I promise* you'll get immediate playing time.
*Promises from 101WildTurkeys are not legally binding as he has no official role with the Virginia Tech Football program
You ain't wrong!
Ladler for whip
Mook to. Corner
Floyd/hunter at rov
Deablo at free
I like it.
Best of luck to both of these great guys!
Haha this is the perfect gif.
Thank you, Mrs. Edmunds.
Now, please... get off the internet and go make us some more football babies.
So fans should all tweet Dax now right?
i am sure he knows!
*looks at losses on defense*
Fuente to Giants?
Best of luck to the Edmundses and all our Hokies!
Rumor is that Fuente to Giants is a done deal and Foster will be continue to be given a free pass at TAMU.

At Safety we got some depth and OLB we got some good prospects. Best of luck to these gentlemen! I hope recruits see we can put guys into the league. Ter and Tre Edmunds, Teller, Settle, Facyson, Stroman, and Phillips wouldn't be surprised to see all of these young men drafted.
I'd be very pleased if all 7 of these guys have their name called, but I'm expecting at least 3 of them to be UDFA.
At least 3 seems a little pessimistic- and I'm a pretty pessimistic guy. I'll give you at least 2 though.
How about Jack?
Very excited for them! And very excited for the defense next year. Lots of new faces?
The stat I'm interested in is how many tackles do our returning players have from this previous season? I feel like it's gonna be a lot of new faces on defense next year, best of luck to the brothers light it up
Would be scared expect Bud is not getting drafted...
Good luck Edmundi
With all of the losses on defense, it's got me wondering what the starting lineup will look like next year. I think it'll go something like this...
D-Line: Hill - Walker - Mihota - Gaines
LB's: Backer: Rivers - Mike: Ashby & Rico Kearney in a battle.
DB's: CB's: Adonis & Tyree - FS: Deablo - ROV: Floyd - NB: Mook .....
Really hoping that D. Hunter can come along and push Floyd &/or Deablo/Mook.
You misspelled Dax
I hope you're right.
If we miss out on Dax, I'm not ruling out Bud wanting to put 10-15lbs on Reggie Floyd and make him an LB. He doesn't naturally fit either spot maybe, but the guy is a good open field tackler who is a fast/athletic LB (whereas those same attributes are probably his limitation at safety). Reggie is a solid/tough player, and I'm guessing he would rise to the challenge.
You also have Deablo, Hunter, and Ladler at Safety (and Mook can move back there if needed if we create some Whip/Nickel depth), and Conner and Peoples are both coming in at safety which could provide more depth there.
For what it's worth Walters has Tremaine at 22 to Buffalo and Terrell at 62 to Pittsburgh....I think this would be a good look for Tech.
Right teams, wrong spots, but who cares!!
Woah, way to dig that up, crazy how prognosticators have to analyze every team and player to put together a prediction. The right team is tough, but most folks are close. Spots are much tougher. I still can't believe they both went first round.
