OT: Stephen Hawking has died

Physicist Stephen Hawking dies aged 76

Sad day for the scientific community. Arguably one of the greatest physicists and cosmologists to ever live is no longer with us. Might have to rewatch Theory of Everything this weekend in honor of him.

At least we'll always have his cameos on Simpsons and Futurama.

.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Don't forget Star Trek!

I believe in the entire history of the ST universe (TOS, TAS, movies, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, new movies, DIS) he is the only person to cameo as himself.

Descent was a good Two parter too. Lore was an awesome Villain in TNG

I love a good nap. Sometimes that's all that's getting me out of bed in the morning.

It was welcome to see Brent Spiner be able to spread his acting wings a little bit. Showed a little bit of the nutcase he eventually played in Independence Day.

Too bad they had to ruin it with that god awful sequel.

This always cracked me the hell up too:

Shut up, Wesley.

"Life would be tragic is it weren't funny"

One of my favorite quotes. Enjoy life friends. Sad to lose one of the greatest minds ever

Literally felt like i was getting punched in the gut when i first read that he passed.

Damn, man. I just started reading "a brief history of time " about 3 weeks ago too. This hurts.

he will be missed

My dad really enjoyed "Brief History". We watched the '92 film.

One of the greatest minds has passed on. His work on Black Holes redefined what everybody thought.

He was one of the greatest snubs by the Noble committee in history.

This dude did it right. Once in a lifetime inspiration of how to make the best of life regardless of what's thrown your way. RIP.

"What are you going to do, stab me? - Quote from Man Stabbed

A TRUE eliminator of excuses.

RIP Sir.

Died on Einstein's birthday and pi day. What a coincidence. He was also born on Jan. 8, the day Galileo died.

Just watched The Theory of Everything finally. If you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend it
