I had no idea Trae Young was going pro
Wow why tf do some of these guys think they'll be drafted. The Martin bros? Any of the Clemson guys? Ray Spalding? Lagerald Vick? PJ Washington? Idk who advises these kids but it seems like they're leaving early just to have an overseas career.
To be fair, the only one of the guys you named who's foregone his college eligibility by hiring an agent is Ray Spalding. I think he's probably a late 1st-rounder at best, but he's an athletic big with a huge wingspan. He seems to grade out as a solid backup big in the NBA.
The rest of them have declared to see where they stand in the draft evaluation process. All of those guys can return to school as long as they don't hire an agent.
The Martin twins may decide to go pro regardless, since they've both earned their degrees (they sat a year after transferring from NC State) and they're already 22.
Pretty sure most of the Duke team is either leaving early or graduating.
They also have the top 3 high school recruits in the country coming in next year...I have no sympathy for them
Yeah...but Grayson Allen is coming back for his 7th year.
It's become almost standard for players who have an above average season to declare without an agent, hence all the names in that post towards the bottom. They get free workouts across the country to get better, get feedback on what they need to improve on from professional scouts, and can always come back if they want. Even Marshall has 3 players going that route.
yeah i personally think VT players should be doing this, particularly if there's even a slight chance of them getting drafted in the next 1-2 years
