I like these matchups a lot. Getting the repeats with GT and ND is big, could potentially go 4-0 against them. Our road slate is tough, but it gives opportunity for more Q1 wins and no one really faults anyone for losing on the road in the ACC, unless its Pitt.

Not having to see or deal with Farrell or Colson makes me so happy.

Still have to look at Pflueger though.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

I want to pfunch him in the pface.

Hopefully we can get the skunk out of the boat with Louisville.
Im hoping for Duke and UVA to be later in the season and have a decent crowd there. Didnt like the UVA game on winter break this past year

True, I love these matchups in a vacuum, but I'm sure the ACC will screw us with the scheduling.

Fully expect either the Duke or UVA home game to be in early January.

Damn, that's got 14-4 written all over it.

In case you haven't been tracking it, most way-too-early-preseason-look-aheads-that-don't-mean-anything have VT as the consensus 4th best team in the league. Duke/UNC/UVA are consistently ahead. The tier below VT is Louisville, BC, Syracuse, Clemson, FSU and NCSU.

So breaking the schedule down:

100% loss: @ FSU. We never play well down there, they are a terrible matchup for us. We shouldn't even go. (0-1)

Ehhh....we would have to play really well: @UVA, vUVA, vDuke, @UNC. (2-2)

Play our game and we're good: @ND, v.Lville, v.SU, @Clemson, @NCSU (4-1)

We got this: @GT, vGT, @Mia, vMia, vND, vBC, vWF, @Pitt (8-0)

I don't care who Miami lost, I'm not chalking up 2 games against them as "we got this"

Bruce Brown would be big if he returned, looks like he's a mid-2nd round pick. Lonnie Walker looks like a top 15 pick, he's not coming back.

Luckily, Anthony Lawrence returns for his 17th season of eligibility to rip our hearts out once again.

We might have to wait for Jim Larranaga to die at this rate.

I would still expect a 12-6 record to get the double bye

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

I'd chalk up Louisville as a 100% loss as well. Until we beat them, I'll never predict a win.

Buzz Williams, 0-2 vs David Padgett. That might make for a good piece of trivia some day.
