So every time I pull up the TKP website I have to see Devyn Ford's picture, and inwardly I do the following:
Can we change that picture to something comical, like a picture of a dog or something? I'm trying to move past the reminder that we were once again the bridesmaid and not the bride. Please help with this healing process.
TKP'ers: I figure if we can get enough votes for a change to this post picture, it'll persuade Joe to do so. What say you VT peers? (Or am I just the only one that is still salty every time I see him in that jersey)

I think the nature of the OP was somewhat satirical to begin with, which was why I replied the way I did (highlighting the ridiculousness of the request, while acknowledging the heartache the image still causes)... I don't think anyone is taking this too seriously, at least on that side of things...

Seriously? This is a tech sports community. It's not like any of the staff make a living off of what money comes in from it. The fact that the quality and quantity of the content is what it is is already astounding given the limitations of not being backed by the mouse or any other independent news entity.
Even if you had a key next to your name or contributed monetarily to the site in another way, this would be a dumb comment.

I want to apologize for appearing to be complaining about the lack of content. That wasn't my intention, and I'm sorry that it came off as such. I do appreciate all of the effort that goes into this website and I understand that nobody is making a living from it. My comment only intended to suggest that the article's headline appearing at the top of TKP's website for several days could be rather disheartening for anybody who reads it. I believe TechHokie13 referred to this feeling as "repeated nutshots", so I know I'm not the only fan who feels this way.
But I would like to address your differentiation between paying members of this site, and others like myself, who are unwilling or unable to contribute financially to TKP. It seems as if you're suggesting that the opinions of those who are members of The Key Players Club could be distinguishable from those who aren't. This thread is not considered premium content, and it is my understanding that anybody can post anything on it as long as they adhere to the community guidelines.
I'm sorry you read it that way. What I meant to say was that complaining about lack of content is dumb whether someone has contributed or not. One of the reasons I am a TKPc member is that I want nonpayong users to continue to have access to the site in as full a capacity as possible, which is how I used it for a long time.
