(ICYMI) After focusing on track and field in the spring, #Hokies WR Samuel Denmark plans to return to football in the fall. Denmark helped Tech's 4x100-meter relay team challenge the school record. https://t.co/lhtuRQXnTE— Mike Barber (@RTD_MikeBarber) June 1, 2018
Samuel Denmark hasn't made his mark for Virginia Tech football just yet. But the South Carolina native has certainly had an impact for the Hokies' track and field program.
Denmark, a sprinter in track and a wide receiver in football, helped Tech's 4x100-meter relay team turn in the second fastest time in school history last week, narrowly missi
Be good to have his speed back.

Welcome back Sam! Having another WR in the fold is definitely a positive.

Burn it d... Oh wait, it's good offseason news.
Glad to see this, always felt like he's got some nice athletic ability.
Had that sweet TD catch last year, hope he gets some PT this season.
From the article:
We've done pretty well in track and field, so it's surprising to me to see that they would have to set a Virginia Tech record time in order to qualify for the NCAAs. Just shows how much further there is to go in T&F, on a national level.
Our teams have excelled at distance running and field events.
Our school record is .01 seconds slower the NCAA qualifying time in 2018? What the hell
The only times where lobbing bombs at Denmark is acceptable.
Come on Lets go.....welcome back to Football Sam....beat Georgia Tech
can we please have a caption this for the picture?

"when you try just a little too hard to get that fart out and the guy behind you is just speechless..."
When Penn State steals your top recruit in the last month...
That NCSU outfit doesn't leave much to the imagination, huh?
I was thinking the same thing. Very unfortunate uniform there.
No rest till Tallahassee.
"Dude, there is a huge spider on your back?"
"Stop blowing in my ear bruh... I'm out."
Is it just me, or is the guy taking the baton from the NC St runner wearing a gold watch? Wouldn't that, like, slow down your time?
Style before speed I guess
JC Coleman is that you?!?!?
...is the guy taking the baton from the NC State runner wearing a gold watch? Wouldn't that slow down your time?
Actually, as the runner's speed approaches the speed of light, time actually does slow down. So, this would only be true if Sam were wearing the watch.
That's great & everything, but uh...how are his HANDS??
He caught a touchdown pass; thats good enough for me
I would guess they are smaller than Jarrett Boykin's
Can he play corner?
Denmark is probably best suited for the long game and that means we need to complete long passes early. We don't need a lot of them to keep defenses on their toes. It seemed like last season a lot of defenses dared us to go over the top and came out ahead on the gamble. It takes one score every couple of games to make them think twice about ignoring a fast receiver. Statistically this was a safe bet last year.
Has our WR depth or talent ever been this good? Mitchell, Turner, Simmonds, Hazelton, Patterson, Kumah, Smith, Grimsley, Denmark, Ellis, Savoy, Caroll?
it can just be depth for depths sake though.
Comfortable with: Savoy, Carroll, Kumah
Jury out: Patterson, Grimsely, Hazelton
The rest are freshman or used very sparingly and we can't expect them to be quality, playable depth right away.
Patterson has looked like the real deal for two spring games in a row now. I really hope he can stay healthy and translate his game to the season now, because he has the potential to be a really good one.
Yes.
Of course: Clowney, Royal, Morgan, Harper; Boykin, Coale, Roberts, M. Davis, DJ Coles
can he play Cornerback or Safety? Could be of some help
Hopefully now we can let Armani Chatman be a CB and Denmark can be a WR.
Is he still on scholarship?
The numbers always work out, or so I've heard
Especially since Adonis just left..
