Issues with Hokiesports Log In

I haven't seen any posts so I'm assuming I may be the lone having the problem.

I can't log into the account for selections. Doesn't matter if I try to go through hokiesports dot com or Lanestadiumseating dot com as soon as I click on log in I get an error message saying the server cannot be found.

This is even before I'm able to actually put in my log in information.

Anyone else having issues accessing it?

I was having trouble with being redirected a page telling me to activate cookies when my login session expired prior to selecting my seats. I used a private browser session and it worked fine. If incognito mode doesn't work for you then I'm not sure.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Thanks! I tried private mode and still didn't work.

Maybe I should try a different browser.

Same. Took me about 20mins to figure out how to turn cookies on...I am not a computer savvy guy (my dad thinks I'm a computer genius because I can print and download plans, don't tell him any different.)

Well ding dang it all, partner, you can do all that? That qualifies for savvy around my place too, yessiree! Didn't anybody ever tell you that your dad is always right?

I had all sorts of problems. In the end, I had to turn off my VPN, clear cache and cookies, and try again.

I found TKP after two rails from TOTS then walking back to my apartment and re-watching the 2012 Sugar Bowl. I woke up the next day with this username.

Thanks y'all. Tried it all, including different browser.

Incredibly frustrating as I had logged in through of all May with no issues and scopes out other potential seats.

I had the same issue with Chrome, and ended up switching to IE and worked fine.

I had issues as well. They only seemed to happen if I closed the browser without logging out of my account though. Whenever I logged out before leaving the page, I had no issue.

If you play it, they will win.

hrm... requiring a specific logout process, needing to clear your cache, only working if you run internet explorer... the 2000's called, they want their website design back

This was my experience, as well. Was scoping out seat locations last night and did the exact same thing. Went to look again and had a few moments of panic. Terrible backend on that site.

I for one am shocked that software the athletic department used did not work as intended.

If only we had software engineers nearby.

How many people are selecting at a given time? I'm picking my seats tomorrow morning from whatever scraps you guys leave for me.

How much of a rush do I need to be in once I've found decent seats? Will I have time to check another section or two to see what else is available? Or should I go ahead and pull the trigger to avoid losing them 30 seconds later?

Once you select your seats, you have them for 10 minutes before they get released. So you can claim a spot, look around a bit, and you'll still have them.

Dear hokiesports.com,
The Key Play works better than you and it's a side hustle of a tech almunus. Get your shit together or just hire Joe.

Love,

I give up. Tried clearing caches and different browsers on both phone and laptop. Emailed hokietix and no response.

Just should be grateful it's a non-reseeding year and at worst I get to keep the same seats.

I will take the dive and go ahead and say that I think it's completely goddamned embarrassing that such an engineering/technology focused school as VT routinely shits the bed like we do with these projects. The seating site requires you to log into hokietickets and then you somehow morph back to Hokie club if you need to donate. It looks like three totally different, uncoordinated projects. And I go ahead and figure it out each year and pay, but damn it's embarrassing. I expect more from VT.

First of all, don't assume everyone is an IT nerd. The first rule of a successful marketable website is being user-friendly and a smooth experience that will likely lead to you coming back again. It's absolute garbage that we can't figure this out. And we need not be so pretentious that we don't have support or make things more user friendly.

Rant over, but it's a shame I have to comment on this for a Tech-heavy university.

To make a comparison, logging into HokieClub/Hokietickets/BallerinaSeating is about as painful to remember a password and be excited about as:
