If it's posted by Willard it's just a matter of time. He usually posts cryptic messages over on 247 that precede big announcements, but this one seems pretty clear. Sucks because I was really looking forward to seeing Sy spill some minutes for Blackshear this year

For Willard, yes. "Say goodbye Sy" is as clear as he's ever been, and I've never seen him be wrong about anything as long as I've been over on 247. He's very reliable as he doesn't ever post unless something big is about to happen (for example he has posted about things such as Fuente's extension and schedule announcements before they both came out among many other things)

Word is that he won't be playing this year, but he is not kicked off the team. There are still some things up in the air, but per my source that is how it stands right now. I am being vague intentionally because of the uncertainty of the details right now. Don't want this to turn into wild speculation and want to respect my source.

I didn't say I was speculating, I said I didn't want to be too specific about the details and have that turn into wild speculation. Also said it came from a source, not just "word on the street is". I said from what I know, he won't be playing this year, but hasn't been kicked off the team. There are plenty of ways that can happen.

I had heard about a month ago about this situation but didn't want to say anything until it became more than just a rumor.
