The folks over on TarHeelBlog have put together a preview of their game against us.
https://www.tarheelblog.com/2018/7/10/17548754/unc-tar-heels-football-la...
Love the subtitle ("The Justin Fuente Hokies have made a point of making Carolina look bad."), and there's a pretty nice nod to Bud Foster part way in ("[With all the losses], DC Bud Foster may have his work cut out for him, personnel-wise. That said, I'll never bet against that crazy hillbilly.").
It's a decent high-level look at what we return, so I thought I'd share it here.

Reading that makes them almost seem human.

Well I'm sure back to back blowout losses have humbl......I can't type that with a straight face
I'm amused at the "Glass houses" comment about the rumors of cheating with regards to Josh Jackson. Like that situation is an any way comparable to what happened at UNC.
Dont expect folks with fake degrees to understand that 1 < 3000
1 that was actually being investigated by a legit review board vs 3000 is more like 1 < 3 billion
One student athlete possibly cheating versus an entire department faking grades for decades (allegedly). Same same, right?
Oh wow. Look at this gem:
They're not salty but they're still talking about how it "should have been delayed." What does this statement say about the toughness of their rival NC State that played in the same hurricane?
They're almost as delusional about their program as loluva
Give them a break, you know it only rained when they were on offense.
I might actually buy them not being salty, because there is a ceiling to how much they care about football down there.
is it the roof, you ask...no. Far lower than the roof.
Not to mention that their field actually drained all the rain unlike the pool that NC State played in. Their fans gave up right after halftime when we scored. That was a great game to be my first VT game I've been to.
Oh yea... well

Lost to VT?

Saw this cover of that song last night, not bad.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH9FyLsfDzw
They've done a bunch of... interesting metal covers over the years
....What the hell did I just watch....
That went from cheesy as hell to huh I wanna watch that again in over the span of 3 minutes.
I've also been hearing many covers of that song lately.
Exactly my thoughts on the video, which is why I posted it. Liked the outtro, too.
If you liked that one, this one starts off even cheesier (yes, it's possible) but is probably my favorite video he's made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0RV0kgdqJU
A strangely interestingly sorta stupid but catchy song with vocal highlights and decent guitar. Not sure why I liked it at the time, but I kinda sorta did.
And we didn't hear Duke having an epic toddler meltdown after we beat them in torrential rains at Lane last season...
Probably because Coach Cutcliffe has actually made Duke football tough.
As somebody who remembers that team before him, that felt weird to type.
Coming from someone who hates Duke as much as LOLUVA and will make up shots to take at them out of thin air, you're absolutely right.
Maybe they should hire a meteorologist to give them forecasts about potential conditions they'll be playing in....or ya know adjust their game plan based on conditions
After the whole article of how many breakout players we lost, they predict themselves to lose at the end.
I guess being outscored 93-10 in two years will do that to you.
Right...it's a different year. They'll keep it close to the tune of about 31-10 or something
I was actually amused that they think they'll keep it within ten.
This article makes Flagpole Sitta start playing in my head.. You know the line "Been around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding....."
Matthew was not a huge hurricane like Harvey and Irma that were legit storms to postpone a game...
We were up by 5 touchdowns at the half! Did they expect us to stop playing after halftime so they could UNCHeat their way back? And the weather that day was perfect for football and they couldn't get down the field. The only hurricane anywhere nearby was the one coming out of the speakers when our sound guys were trolling them by playing "Rock Me Like a Hurricane" all game long.
They could probably supply the whole state of NC (and maybe even VA) with salt.
Question: do games @UNC count as home games? Is that Lane South?
I would say yes. Especially if there is more O&M in the stands than crybaby blue.
We were up by 35 at halftime, and 45 after only 5:06 ticked off in the 3rd quarter, at which point we pulled the starters on offense. FFS, even Coleman Fox got 3rd quarter touches.
Not our fault they couldn't keep a bunch of backups out of the endzone.
Who can forget Mitch staring off into the distance...

At that point, he was just thinking about kissing titties.
He goes by Mitchell, thanks
Mitchell Trubisky anagrams to Turkey Mills Bitch
Interesting choice of words and punctuation. What I read here is that the loss should have been delayed, not the "Hurricane Game".
You know, if you don't count this article along with every other one they've published, this blog is very reputable.
Got a reasonably clean layout that doesn't make my eyes bleed. There, I said something nice about it.

"That said, I'll never bet against that crazy hillbilly."
Who they callin' a hillbilly?

They we're on to something with this, but then lost all credibility with the next sentence...
🤔🤔🤔
Edit: As I think about it more, whoever wrote this is correct. Ricky didn't play starter's snaps
behind Big Tim and Mihota last year, he played his starter's snaps BETWEEN them
That and he has started 5 more games than Settle. Statements like this is why some say ricky is under rated/valued
BUDDING??? They don't even know what they've done there....tip of the stetson...I guess
This might be the funniest thread I've read on here in a while. LOL..
