I think they're bullish on the Raiders, Bengals, Texans, and Cardinals. I think they're bearish on the Colts, Browns, and Chiefs and Niners.
The rest of the NFC East is a joke after the Eagles in that chart. That division is usually one of the best in the league, there will be a team that is better then 7-9.
Yeah, i'm just not sure which team that is. Each of the three could be anywhere between 6 and 10 wins this year and it wouldn't surprise me. I expect Skins to be on the higher end of that range, the Cowboys to be on the lower end, and our Giants wouldn't surprise at 5 wins or at 11 because the possible outcomes is that broad.

So the Super Bowl will be played by 2 teams that had to play back to back road games in the divisional and conference championship rounds?
I'm not saying that they are flat wrong, but recent history would show this to not be accurate at all.
Well, looking at their actual playoff picks, they have the Saints advancing to the NFC Championship, so the 3-seed Falcons would have a home game there.
But yeah, picking the 4-seed Chargers to beat the 1-seed Jags in Jax (ehhh) and then turn around and upset the Pats in Foxborough (not a chance) is a bit insane.

Looks about right for Redskins... I expect 7-9 or 8-8 at best.
Mediocrity... Worst spot to be in as a team. Not great and not one of the worst teams (so you get a high draft pick/prospect to build on)
While this is extremely true for the NBA, where you have 5 players on the court and 1 superstar can change an entire franchise, I don't agree with the idea that tanking is highly beneficial at all in football. Teams like the Browns and Lions were bottom feeders getting top 5 picks over and over again and still were historically bad. Meanwhile other teams like the Patriots and Steelers have remained in the top half of the league for extended stretches without top draft picks.
No where did I say they should tank, I just said being in the middle is the worst. You bring up Browns and Lions, and I will counter with the Jags who have sucked for so long and built up that defense (plus Fournette) with high round picks. They were 1 game away from the super bowl last year and a favorite to win division this year.
Sure high picks year over year doesn't = success but I'd rather build up my team with those kind of players than ones being drafted between 12-20.
And your example of Patriots and Steelers... those teams have franchise QB's that can carry teams that are incompetent in many areas. Not to say that they are, but a franchise QB's can cover up many discrepancies.
I'm a little out of the loop for the NFL, but does the Seahawks being 4-12 seem surprising to anyone else?
Seems a tad low, but they are not going to be a good football team this season. Their defense is in complete tear down mode, and offensively they "only" have Wilson and not too many other threats
The Rams and Niners are better than them and the Cardinals should be better too slightly
Baldwin is also good but that probably won't be enough to keep them in games.

Cripes! It's been 30 years.... Unless you are a masochist, I do not recommend Browns fandom. Although it does make you appreciate the little things, like losing a close game is better than getting blown out!
The Chargers winning their division outright and moreso... in the super bowl? That's a hot take if ever I have seen one.
Yeah it's been a minute since they've been able to give Rivers an adequate supporting cast. And even then the best they did was the AFCCG.
I see the Eagles back to the NFC Championship game at minimum.
Tougher schedule this season but I think they are better heading into this season than last. No significant losses from a SB winning team, and major gains with an MVP caliber QB coming back, Peters, Sproles, Hicks.
I think their offensive arsenal is improved:
Mike wallace is an upgrade over Torrey Smith
Jeffrey won't be playing a whole season with a torn rotator cuff
Adding a talented young TE to a group that already has a Top 5 TE in Ertz
Sproles ability to catch out of he backfield
Defensively, they are more or less the same except Michael Bennett in there instead of Vinny Curry.

In that note, I don't know the last time I've seen an athlete handle this type of situation better than Nick Foles and going back to the bench. The Eagles were wise to give the guy some more $$, but he has been a phenomenal teammate and Philly fans are going to love him forever

We have some defensive injuries to weather early on (Jernigan comes to mind), but I'm with you that there are somehow even more weapons on offense this year.
dont forget a defense that also somehow added Michael Bennett to an already excellent defensive line.
Remember most NFL fans dislike Bennett because...reasons...
The guy gets to the QB in the late stages of the game, his stats in that regard can't be denied. doesn't bode well for teams that will be trying to come back on this offense
Wow, aside from the Iggles, every other team in the NFC LEast is hot lunch garbage. I notice that having Alex Smith does nothing to improve the outlook of the DC Snyders.

if predicting the results of a game (much less 256 games) was easy, sports betting wouldn't be a thing.
I was literally reading it thinking "that was pretty good." They whiffed on the Bills but the Texans might have easily been 8-8 if Watson wasn't injured and I don't see any other massively wrong picks in the entire AFC. The NFC was much worse but other than the big miss on the Giants and Eagles, most of the rest is fairly reasonable. The Bucs were an extremely popular preseason pick with their offensive weapons, nobody thought the Rams were going to be what they turned out to be (young rookie head coach with a 2nd year QB who had struggled mightily), the Niners were actually awful before Jimmy G, and Aaron Rodgers only played in 6 games.
So yeah, I don't think that seems so bad considering you can't very well predict injuries.

They pegged the AFC pretty darn well. Jags were a surprise. Bills did better than expected. But overall I was actually impressed.

I think the Panthers are gonna do better than 9-7. Liking the way things look in Charlotte at the moment.
You could be right but the NFC South is brutal. Unfortunately even as a Saints fan, I see them taking a step back this season. I think their defense played beyond what should be expected this year- also that draft trade was idiotic. Should be a very competitive division though.
Personally nothing would make me happier this NFL season than an 0-16 season in Buffalo.
