The Clone Wars are coming back for one 12 episode season! More details here. It looks like this is going to tell The Siege of Madalore and wrap up any loose ends. I have no shame in saying that The Clone Wars is one of my favorite stories in the SW universe, and I absolutely recommend it if you've never watched it before. (Oh, and just to clarify I'm talking about the full 6 season series that's on Netflix, not the movie.)

Been slowly making my way through the seasons with my wife. She loves the story as much as I do.
Excited for a new set of episodes.
Would it be good for my kids who love star wars? (Just the original trilogy, though. I haven't hinted at the existence of any others, I'm not a psycho.) They're 6 and 9, btw.
Yes it would be perfect. For me as an adult now (physically at least) I have never been able to get into any of the animated stuff. But had I been younger when it came out I would have loved it.
Dude, my parents took me to see ROTJ when it 1st came out in theaters while I was literally, actually, factually an infant.

Entertaining? Yes. Overly scary? It gets a little creepy with the whole witches/dearth maul plot line, but for the most part is tame. Appropriate? Depends on what you want your kids watching. I'd suggest popping over to common sense media and reading some reviews.
My 7 year old likes getting Star Wars readers from the library and a lot of those are clone wars stories. I have been planning on rewatching it to screen it for him.
