August 6 will mark 5,000 days that VT has held the Commonwealth Cup. 4:05pm was the official game end time on November 27, 2004 when we started this domination. I'm down to take a shot of bourbon at this time

I concur. Not everyone wants to sit down and hammer some newfangled oatmeal stout that the local micro brew just put out. Some people just like a cheap beer that they can drink 100 of and pick up at the gas station on the way home. I like a good beer just as much as the next guy, but if I'm grilling out at the house all day you better believe I've got some cheap ass Busch Light or Keystone or whatever the hell somebody brought. And if somebody somewhere hands me a cold beer and I say oh shit I'm not drinking that, then please shoot me. The beer snobbery around here has reached insane levels.
Let's all just embrace our alcoholism as one united group of drunken Hokies. Livers and haters be damned.
Seriously. I like good beer as much as the next guy (actually, probably more) but if I know I'm going to be drinking all day, 8.6% red ipa is just a bad idea. My swilling beer of choice is bud light, but it goes for pretty much all of them. Since I (usually) want to remember what happened tomorrow, cheap domestic light is usually my choice. And if I decide I don't want to remember anymore, that's why god gave us bourbon.

Busch light is a more recent epiphany of mine. God knows what I was drinking back then. Alot of bad decisions I think. I remember drinking a beer bong full of Parrot Bay once. Don't remember much after that.
But to answer your question, yes it is. Drink 30 of them in a day and tell me again you don't think it is drinking.

So most of my life events.
There are students at loluva that have never experienced a victory over VT while they were in school. Ever.
I can't even imagine the child of two hardcore UVA fans (do they have those?). Like how do you raise your child to like a team that hasn't beaten their rival in its lifetime.
I went through four years of high school and got a diploma, four years of undergrad and got a bachelor of science, and then an addition five years of graduate school and got a doctorate. plus one more year for good measure.

At first when I read this I kinda laughed it off like "of course a lot has happened, it's been 14 years!" Then I stopped to actually think about it. I nearly lost my dad to a heart attack. I got married and changed jobs. Built a house. Lost a few friends to Afghanistan and skydiving. Had kids. Changed jobs again.
If I learned anything, it's that I'm gonna spend the next 5000 days hugging my family, being thankful for all I've got, remembering what I've lost, all while looking forward to the 10k celebration!
I finished Grad school, got married (a day apart), bought a house, had a baby, made lots of new friends, watched lots of football, lots of tailgaiting, witnessed Tech's biggest comeback ever live at the Belk Bowl.
So, it would just like any other Monday for me - except it will be a happy drink.

Only insofar as to the second statement. The first statement is a factual observation. Now, you could subjectively state that LOLUVA held it on loan for those 366 days, but we received zero payments, so it wasn't beneficial to us to let them do so.

Pretty much.... The Spring Game thread started things off... Then they officially met at the Spring Game.
You could argue for TKP or Lot 18 as being responsible. But really it's because of the horse head mask and the beard. I was powerless to resist.
There was no Lot 18 magic making that happen because it was all in Mexico. If I had been there y'all would be married with at least one kid by now.
Please with you not there we got to play MacGyver and use straws from Chic Fil A to hold up a flagpole. Made it much more interesting.
