On every Hokies' Christmas list!

If they weren't $35 I would honestly buy 4 or 5, but that's out of my range for a bobble head.

uva sucks

I know what is going in the Dirty Santa exchange with my UVA cousins at Christmas! Yes, there is a chance they don't end up with it, but watching their faces when it's unwrapped...I can't wait.

As a self proclaimed gif connoisseur, I'm going to have to put this in my top ten.

1. I have never seen it before.
2. it fits the occasion - deliciously so.
3. I actually think this could be you in earlier, real life

A picture is worth a thousand words. A gif is worth a million.

It is eerily reminiscent of the look I get after doing something particularly petty, yes.

$35? Not for me.

This effort clearly lacked Hokie involvement as there is no mention of uva as that historic #1 seed. Way to make it all about yourselves UMBC. Meh.

Something tells me UVA didn't want to license their name or logos for a bobblehead commemorating their humiliation.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

I would think they would be able to use name, but not the logo. If it said Victory over #1 Virginia that seems to be too generic to be able to enforce licensing laws. Does every shirt that has a football team schedule printed on the back have the stamp of approval from every school?

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

They can trademark their wordmark, but they can't trademark the word Virginia. The name of the state is public domain, so as long as UMBC didn't get too specific with it (UVA, Hoos, etc) it should have been fine.

They could have had the retriever standing on the "Number one seed" (a base colored in blue and orange...)

That might have even wrenched $35 from me...

Someone could even take this bobblehead and add a base with the UVa and the scissors on it, along with the score and rankings.

$35? No mention of UVA? Hard pass

I think VT_Fencer called it right.

clicky

Though I must admit, UVA.....

Oh, I know I understand why, but its absence still contributes to my decision not to buy....

Hard to argue with facts and a bobble head

Two thumbs up on the commerative troll, UMBC.

Let's Go
