"And now Miami wants to talk about it....Look at this...These fans are losing their minds"

I was there for this, and it's still one of the best things i have ever experienced in life

"Why gobble gobble chumps asks such good questions, I will never know." - TheFifthFuller

Great video, but had the MOST awkward transition I've ever heard from an announcer. "Let me tell you what has become open - this crowd"

It's crazy to think about how great that video is, and how much better it could've been. If they weren't talking over it the whole time. How were the ESPN producers not in their ears screaming "shut the fuck up!!!"

I'm sure they have the raw crowd audio and if they had wanted to, they could have quieted the announcer mics.

Free Hugh

I've said it on here before: "These people are losing their minds" is possibly my favorite audio clip of anything ever. Definite goosebumps watching this one.

A video I took from the student section at the Miami game, basically time frame as this whole ESPN clip. The time out happens around 1:00 and then enter sandman starts right after. Excuse my constant yelling lol

that's awesome!

I can feel the bleachers shaking. And I can feel your pounding headache from all that exhausting screaming.

This is why you have to bring bourbon into the game. The yelling headache is inevitable, but it becomes unbearable if you have a 2nd half hangover too.

Awesome video. Also given your username, any chance you were on the IM basketball team called the dirty birds in 2013? If so, you or one of your teammates nearly broke my nose with an elbow

Here lies It's a Stroman Jersey I Swear, surpassed in life by no one because he intercepted it.

Sorry man wasn't us, we don't throw those NBA elbows that players claim was just a basketball move to make space and then claim it's not an offensive foul. Lol

Fugazy

The dirty bird in question admitted it was a foul, just the IM ref disagreed. Ref also decided to give me a technical when he overheard me venting to my teammate saying it was a bogus as I waited for my bloody nose to stop.

Here lies It's a Stroman Jersey I Swear, surpassed in life by no one because he intercepted it.

The dirty bird admitted it was a fowl? I figured that would be a given.

That gave me goosebumps.

Would you be willing to text/email that or put it on youtube?

Virginia Tech Power Hour (versions 1 and 2) best enjoyed with a plethora of Bush Light

(add if applicable) /s

Agreed, BillDozerVT is the man with some serious video making skills. Disagree with the Busch Light, gotta go with Miller Lite if your drinking beer all day (or for an hour).

Agree. 100%. Alhough I add a little jack d. Ok, more than a little...

I love a good nap. Sometimes that's all that's getting me out of bed in the morning.

This has always been one of my favorites. Starting at 2:35, it's a great angle of David Wilson's kick return as he runs toward the camera. And then the "Does it get any better than Thursday night in Blacksburg?" Enter Sandman. Really cool to see/hear the crowd from the players' perspective on the field. It also does a good job of showing how Lane keeps buzzing after a huge play. You can't see that on TV.

I was in I think Sec 35 that night. One of my buddies actually called Wilson running it back before the kick. I was less optimistic haha. It was great on that side of the stadium watching the hole open up and 4 just running straight through it. I was like 3 rows up hugging and high fiving strangers. It was glorious.

On the Carmichael pick in the endzone on the ensuing drive, that was the opposite part of the field from where we were sitting so it took a few seconds for us to realize what happened. I was like, "Is that our ball? Is that our ball?? THATS OUR BAAAAALLLL!!!"

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

Great point on the continuation of the buzz of the crowd well after the score. That's a great clip I haven't seen that one.

One of the best radio calls on one of the best plays in Virginia Tech football history.

I was there for this game, with the Marching Virginians. That game was so bleak - until it wasn't! And then I got to spend the night in Charlottesville with some Hoos and gloat, which made it even better!

Aww man, how I want to do this to Clemson again!!!!

Especially Wayne Ward's block

My favorite part of that block is the sound the collective crowd makes at the same time! That sound is the "OOOO Damn you just got laid out son!" sound.

oh. my. god.

That block made me cough/laugh out loud! Holy moly. That was my freshman year and first year watching Hokie football in person. The season made quite the impression on me...but NOTHING like the impression that Ward made on that defender. ;)

Thank you, thank you for posting this!

Get well!

Lee Suggs!!

You're welcome. A Hokie pleasure! :)

One of the greatest blocks in college football history!

What I've always loved about the return was that after Andre scored, there are a just few guys down there congratulating him....but Ward has the whole team going nuts.

The little flick of the wrist by Michael Vick on throws like that is still absolutely mesmerizing to watch.

Is coronavirus over yet?

He certainly had a knack for making those deep throws look effortless.

From the 29 to the opposite 10 in the air...and it didn't look like he put much strength behind it.

I used to watch that "Remember the Hokies" video a lot wayyy back in the day, definitely a classic.

But in more recent years, this has probably been replayed the most by me.

This is my favorite BillDozerVT video

First time I've seen this video...LOVE IT!!

Michael Brewer played the game of his fucking life that night.

Also Shai and Marshawn, what could've been.

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

That game really didn't end up meaning much in terms of the season or the trajectory of the program, but in a vacuum, that was one of the best moments ever for VT football. I watched every single play from start to finish. When OSU came back late I thought, "Oh here we go again." But I was stunned when Brewer marched us down the field to score and went absolutely crazy with Riley's pick six to cap it. Unbelievable night.

I really liked making my cut of those highlights as well

I just sit on my couch and b*tch. - HokieChemE2016

I still watch this hype video from 2009... love the Dark Knight theme music and the "here we go" part.

This is my favorite tweet right now.

I admit that I made this - labor of love - from 2008 highlights before the 2009 season. Dug it up for this thread and I still love my song choice and the twist ending. 9,000 views over nearly 10 years - strong average?

Mike's 2010 trailer is what got me into video editing. I had recently graduated and was working at my first desk job. Naturally I always had a browser window open reading message boards and trash talk leading up to the Boise State game. His trailer got me so hyped and I proceeded to watch every single trailer I could find. There weren't enough of them on the internet to satisfy my needs so I decided I would start contributing my own.

Hyping up Hokie Nation one video at a time.

We appreciate everything you do! Keep up the excellent work!

Has anyone ever sat down and tried to do a video with every blocked kick/punt Tech has had since BeamerBall started? I think if that was ever made, it would be my favorite football video...

I think YouTube has a limit on how long a video can be. Something like 10 or 12 hours. Wouldn't work.

It's apparently ~10 hours.

I'm pretty sure the only use for this video is at CIA blacksites for torture. I couldn't take 30 seconds of it before I wanted to throw my phone out the window.

You missed the good part. It's about eight minutes in.

I hadn't heard about this until sort of recently. I mentioned this thread and my wife insisted on playing the original cut.

136 blocked kicks under CFB. Assuming 15 seconds for each kick, that's 4 per minute. 34 minutes of glory. I don't know how many under CJF, but all told, 45 minutes? Now if we include LPD pick 6s and scoop and scores and we're in an indeterminate time frame

12 seconds! That is so crazy!

I have no clue how I didn't think of this earlier, but I have probably watched this video more than any other.

I scrolled through this thread with the sole purpose of ensuring this video is included. The only way it would be better is with Roth's call over top.

I love these videos so much

There was a ten minute video of the 2003 Miami upset back when I was a freshman in 2004. It has since been taken down due to copyright. It might be on another sight. It was all highlights of the game, the build up, everything. I watched it all the time before games.

The game film from the 1999 Syracuse game.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

Oh, man. We took it to them in every conceivable way a team can get it taken to.

Had some Cuse fans sitting in front of us that went and bought VT gear at halftime. Partially embarrassment partially respect.

Ha! Who was it that did the "nighty-night" gesture after levelling Pat Woodcock? I thought he had broken Woodcock in half.

Edit - It was Ike Charlton

That was the first Tech game my dad took me to. It was like 2 weeks after we moved to Roanoke. I remember falling in love with Hokie football immediately. Never looked back

"Look at this... This is just spectacular.... These people are losing their minds"

I think Paul Pasqualoni still hears Tech Triumph in his nightmares.

The Stith run at :51 is going all the way (IMO) if not for running into Lehr. Doesn't change the game necessarily, but points in that opening drive seemed inevitable...until they didn't!

"Take care of the little things and the big things will come."

This isn't a game video, but I get goosebumps during FuMan's post-game presser after the ND game. Hokies were there loud and proud.

THere was this excellent one when I was in college of the 2003 Miami game highlights dubbed over with "BOOM" by POD (I think). That was excellently done for back in the day. Would love to see that again if anyone can dig it up.
