Who all has gotten their tickets? Ours were just delivered and they are fancy. They are printed like a spiral bound magazine this year. Very visually impressive.

UPS says out for delivery. My kids are home with a sitter and I have instructed them do NOT open anything that has Dad's name on it!

You went a lot more tame than I would have for the company sending the second package. Either you're very mature and restrained or I'm a complete child.

UPS comes early at our house. I was checking the front door every few minutes starting at 8:00... They came about 9:30. Having tickets in hand means that it is ALMOST FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!!!

Got mine as well. Man, that's an impressive way to present. Very cool and much better than the sheets of tickets from years past. Marketing is outdoing themselves this year. Must be wanting us to show them the $$$$$.

Call the ticket office
One tip ... sign-up for UPS My Choice if you don't have it already - you'll get alerted anytime there is a UPS package coming your way (whether you were expecting them or not) and be able to track its status/scheduled delivery date. Can also reroute or have them held at a UPS location (which I like to take advantage of ... I'm the paranoid type that doesn't like thousands of dollars of tickets sitting on my porch all day when I'm not home.) Anyway, it's a pretty helpful service if you get packages a lot. Most times I get an alert from the UPS app that my tickets are enroute before I even get the email with the tracking number via the VTTO/ticket printer.
If you sign-up for USP My Choice and don't see anything, I'd definitely call the ticket office. Having your order # handy from your email confirmation might help.

I have an uncle that went to NC State and has been a season ticket holder there for years. State has been doing the spiral bound magazine look for their season tickets for at least the last 3 seasons. I was actually wondering when we would see something similar for our Tech tickets.
I got the notification that they've been delivered but I'm still at work for 3 more hours. Just a reminder - it's a federal offense and a felony to open someone else's mailbox.
Think the felony is opening somebody else's mail, not mailbox. Otherwise those high school kids putting out flyers are going to do hard time.

Got home after midnight from the Journey/Def Leppard concert (where they showed several scenes on the big screen of the Def Leppard guitarist from years past wearing a Virginia Tech shirt) to find ours waiting on the front porch. Vocal cords prepped for the season. Great Monday it was!

For all you season ticket holder experts: how do you get enough klout to get season tix located on the 50 yard line and lower rows. Is it a time requirement or moeny requirement or how is it done? Thanks!
Under this new system a bit of both. You get points for years of consecutive giving but the primary source of points is how much you give. This is the point system I found on HokieSports.
2 Points for every $100 cumulative giving to Virginia Tech Athletics $
5 Points per consecutive year of giving to the Hokie Scholarship Fund
3 Points per consecutive year of purchasing season tickets (football, men's basketball and women's basketball)
1 Point per purchased season ticket (football, men's basketball and women's basketball) with a maximum of 16 points accumulated per sport, per year
1 Point per neutral site or postseason event with ticket(s) purchased (football, men's basketball and women's basketball)
5 Points per year of membership in the Student Hokie Club
50 Points for being a former Virginia Tech letterwinner (one-time bonus)
I have no idea how many points are required for 50 yard line tickets that aren't nose bleeds. It will be a lot.
For 50 yard line seats, it's a minimum of $800 per seat per year (plus the cost of the tickets themselves).
But that is the minimum required. If you give those amounts you are not guaranteed seats in that section.
That is the floor but the ceiling is going to be much higher.
Oh definitely. But I think that there were a lot of people who had 50 yd seats based on seniority only that downgraded their seats instead of increasing their donations. It would be interesting to see if they are sold out of those seats or not.
Yeah that's the minimum. The points come into play when it comes time to choose. If you give $800 your first year and there's 5,000 seats available there, if you are the 5,001st to select seats, you may very well be out of luck (if by some dumbass chance 5,000 people only bought one ticket each and all wanted to be in that section).
There is also fancier versions of the season tickets that you can wear on a lanyard!

That's the kind of game that you pull for the giant meteor... You can't with good conscience pull for either team, so you just hope that a giant meteor hits the middle of the field.
Tickets in hand!!! I read the whole book, then, read it again.. and then used it for a bedtime story for the kids. One of them goes to Clemson so some of the appreciation for it was lost.
