EDIT: I started one league. For those careful folks who would like to get to the league by finding it through Yahoo, here's the College Fantasy Football league info:
League ID#: 12132
League Name: TKP CFFB
All Managers can send invites
If you prefer a direct link: TKP CFFB
The Player Pool is fixed at 65 teams; all Power 5 teams and Notre Dame. This produces about twice as many football players to choose from than a Pro Fantasy league. This Fantasy league can go up to 20 teams.
I picked Saturday, August 25th as the draft date. Most rules and scoring are standard (1/2 PPR). If you would like to see any setting changes before the draft, please use the league message board.
EDIT 2: Looks like we're up to 13 teams as of 8/14 (draft is currently set for Saturday, 8/25)
EDIT 3: As interest peters out, I locked the league at 16 teams. There has to be an even number to hold the draft. There are now two divisions... I'm not sure how they get broken up, as Commish tools don't seem to be able to control this.

Comments
I remember ESPN used to have this (CFB Challenge) until probably right around when CBS dropped theirs.
If we're doing it, count me in.
CBS always had a terrible interface, but the league I first joined at work used it. I happened to stumble upon the College version by chance, so I started a team in a public ACC/SEC/ND league... I probably had a few too many Hokies on my roster that year.
Been playing college football fantasy for the last 9 years on fantrax.com
It is a blast, our league only uses players from SEC and ACC teams + Notre Dame. I don't how Yahoo's will work but Fantrax has been great and would suggest it to anyone that loves College Football.
I've never played in a league on Fantrax. At some point I must have just written them off as the kind of place that takes a cut from the winnings or something weird like that.
Count me in!
Definitely interested. Don't care for pro football so could never get into typical fantasy leagues but I live for college so would love an invite if anyone hosts one.
I'll join up...not playing NFL fantasy again, but will try college fantasy..
I just signed up...looking forward to the games.
We're up to six teams out of a possible 20 after one day.
So far, so good
I the general strategy just each week pick up as many players as possible from the teams playing an FCS team?
That might work for 3 weeks during the season
Check the Sagarin ranking before you apply this philosophy! This ranks the FCS teams with the FBS teams, and starting around the 30s you'll see the FCS teams start (with "AA" in the first column).
James Madison and North Dakota State were far better teams than Nebraska and Arkansas last year.
Are y'all running an NFL league this year? I participated a few years ago and would really like to again.
Just waiting for the sucker to take the initiative and start it!
(I think we usually end up with 4 leagues or so)
Just joined, I see the time is set for 1030am PDT. That's 730am NYC time right? So early lol
That should come out to 1:30 PM on the East Coast
I'm in. Now could someone start an NFL one on any other platform.
I'll give it a whirl.
Signed in
Is there a way to set an auto-draft? I will be camping on 8/25
Yahoo will auto draft for you if you do not login to the draft board. They actually do a pretty good job (in my NFL league experiences). You won't have everybody on bye the same week and you will have starters and backups at all positions (you might not appreciate the extra kicker or defense, but you can swap those out before the first week on waivers).
You can change around your pre-draft rankings if you would like. Yahoo will auto draft based on your edited rankings.
(if you just wanted to rearrange your top 20 or top 50, Yahoo will go back to their default rankings from wherever you got bored).
Draft starts in just under an hour!
Good luck to all playing
Forgot all about the draft with my parents coming to visit. Who ARE most of these people? lol
Bryce Love is a Running Back at Stanford. They're a bunch of nerds, but I'll be generous and offer to trade him for anybody on my team you want.
Jacques Patrick failed to commit to FSU in a supercar, but he does manage to see the field, so I guess it's a wash in the success department.
I don't know much about your QB but he's throwing to my first round pick, so I hope he's really good. I wish terrible things upon your other Ole Miss WR & TE.
Rodrigo Blankenship is probably the only recognizable place kicker.
Bryce Love is the main one I recognize and, thus, the main one I'm keeping.
I was so unfamiliar with everyone else that I didn't even look at the kickers. Go Dawgs!
