Buying a ticket to the playoff game
I ain't gonna say we should prove them wrong.
thats what i like to see
say what?
Clemson in the ACCCG?
Their description of the season is accurate. Our schedule other than FSU (and Pitt) is very advantageous to us.
Even Willie Taggart's teams are good for losses. As a matter of fact they're good for a decent number of losses.
Let's say Taggart splits the difference between his best year at USF (10-2) and his record at Oregon (7-5). That puts them at 9-3 or 8-4 depending on whether you round up their wins or losses.
Are there 3 or 4 losses in the following schedule?
I think so. Clemson, Miami and VT would work very well with ND possibly being a fourth.
I think the major thing in our advantage is a new system on offense and new system on defense. Will FSU get it right this season? Probably, but it's really hard to get it right the first game.
Just found a bio photo of the author (left, with his best friend and inside source)

A guy who fucks and a guy who's just fucking weird.
I've always wondered if that dude is on here and just steers clear of that situation
That doesn't look like a guy that steers clear of situations
That's exactly what that dude would say to avoid suspicion

I mean.... I can see it. We avoid Clemson, we get FSU in their first game under a new coach where they're still literally learning what he's trying to do after a disastrous 2016 with a QB that only played one half of one game last year before ripping his leg apart, ND and Miami are at home, with Miami in Lane the second to last week of the season, GT is a Lane Thursday Nighter, and the rest of the schedule is chock full of teams we should beat. Even with us playing the likes of FSU, ND, and Miami in the same year, this really couldn't be set up better for us.
That could be the schedule with 2019's roster. Jus' sayin'.
I agree and must add that its definitely possible especially when Miami travels to play GT then a week later plays us.
No team's knees are safe from chop block o'clock time.
I watched a number of Miami games last year just to see if "The U" was really back. They spent most of last year on the ragged edge of disaster because of how carless Rosier is as a passer. Our issues on offense (and losing our LT) prevented us from putting them away last year. Most teams do not survive throwing 3 INTs. Miami's win over GT was a joke and came down to pure luck. The real Miami showed up vs. Clemson and even though it wasn't 38-0 bro, 38-3 is pretty close.
I feel like someone could have legitimately made this prediction...before any juniors declared for the draft last year and our entire CB corps got injured/leftschool
Not even with my O&Mest of glasses could I see this happening. I think at best we're a 1 loss team
if you squint jusssst enough I can see a possibility of that occurring.
FTFY
If Settle had stayed and we also had Adonis or Webb, you could make an argument....
Imagine if the Edmunds brothers stayed as well.
Threat for playoff surely.
I rewatched the Clemson VT game from last year on one hour footballs last remaining video today, and even if we had everyone back we would have to have better OL and RB play to have a chance against Clemson. We looked like FCS teams look trying to run on Clemson.
Side rant: YouTube giving one hour football the axe really hurt my amateur film studying. There is a "CFBin30" account but it's much harder to use because they skip straight to the snap of each play so it's difficult to pause and study pre snap alignments and it removes almost all pre snap movement.
If anyone has any good alternate footage collections for film study I would greatly appreciate it. That said, I know a lot of that costs money/is traded between film junkies.
Yeah, watching Masons breakdown of FSUs new Pitt like defense with all those Pitt clips just left me sad at how slow and un-instinctual our RBs looked.
I too miss one hour football, for far lazier reasons.
damn, they really did away with the one hour games?!?
Mook
I think it all hinges on the FSU game. If we beat them we have momentum. We get ND later in the season and by the time Miami shows up we get them late and at Lane. As Harry always said: YOU CAN HOLD!
I've played through this season in NCAA 11. I can confirm that this is exactly how it played out. Seems legit to me.
the answer is NOTHING!
I remember in 1999, one writer in Michigan voted us #1 preseason and kept voting us #1 all season (IIRC). It was so weird. We were coming off a 7-4 season (?), freshmen QB, no RB's of note. But that guy at a small daily newspaper in western Michigan was all over us.
so it only takes one dude to make the dream come true.
I just checked, and it seems he skipped us in week 6. Otherwise, yeah, that's weird.

under new NCAA rules, we can claim a national championship because of this. /s
And according to the Colley Matrix, we are ranked #1 in week 0

Right behind Iowa State. Good. We do better as underdogs.
