Game day has finally arrived, and the kickoff can't get here soon enough!
I started something like this last year before the West Virginia game, but didn't keep up with it. Sorry!
Some fun lines to ponder(with O&M glasses firmly in place!) for those of us counting the minutes to kickoff. If you're lucky enough to be attending the game in person, yell extra loud for me!
Over/under 1.5 picks by Tech defenders: I'll take the over, optimistically. I noticed that Reggie Floyd had the 2nd most picks on the team last year.
Over/under 6.5 tackles for loss by Tech defenders: We averaged 7.7 per game last year, but I'm going to take the under.
Over/under 2.5 sacks by Tech defenders: We averaged just 2.5 sacks per game last year, but, interestingly, Trevon Hill tied for 1st among all defenders last year, and Ricky Walker was 2nd. I'm going to take the over, in light of FSU's supposedly weak offensive line.
Over/under 0.5 forced fumbles by the Hokies: I'm going to take the over, and hope I'm right.
shiBEST player of the game: I'm going to take a flyer and say Caleb Farley, hoping he runs one back for 6.
Offensive MVP for the Hokies: This could be any one of a bunch of guys, but I'm going to say Damon Hazleton.
OK, TKP'ers, I'm anxious to see your comments.

Stout for making the Noles start at the 25 all game long
JJ after a 400 total yard, 3 TD, 2 rushing TD performance
I hope you're right! If that comes true, we'll have a great chance to win.
Sure! Let's play!
Over/under 1.5 picks by Tech defenders:
I really want to say over but I'm going to say under. I think FSU avoids the middle (where Reggie Floyd is playing) and because we are going to go heavy against the run they target our young CBs one-on-one. I think our CBs play well but I don't think we get the INTs.
Over/under 6.5 tackles for loss by Tech defenders:
I'm going over. Front what I hear about FSU's O-Line I think our upgraded athleticism as Mike might be a plus.
Over/under 2.5 sacks by Tech defenders:
Over. I think this happens because of FSU's weak O-Line and the fact that Francois is coming off a knee injury. Giving up a sack in the first game of the year is preferable to re-injuring a knee and losing another season.
Over/under 0.5 forced fumbles by the Hokies:
I REALLY want to say over... Last year FSU had 0.6 fumbles per game... Which is over... I'm going with OVER!
shiBEST player of the game:
I agree with Farley.
Offensive MVP for the Hokies:
I have to say JJ. His improved passing and a couple of runs makes the difference.
First of all, I have to ask Bud Foster for forgiveness for not having more faith in him. What a performance by the defense! Wow!
Over/under 1.5 picks by Tech defenders: I took the over, and the Hokies blew it out of the water, with Caleb Farley getting 2! and the big man Mihota hauling one in in the closing minutes!
Over/under 6.5 tackles for loss by Tech defenders: I took the under, but we had 13 TFLs! 13! Shame on me!
Over/under 2.5 sacks by Tech defenders: I took the over, good thing. We had 5 sacks.
Over/under 0.5 forced fumbles by the Hokies: I took the over. Again, smart move. Ashby forced one fumble.
shiBEST player of the game: I said Farley, but it was Cunningham who blocked the punt to put us up by 2 scores. Honorable mention to Oscar Bradburn for great punting, pinning the Noles deep in their own territory over and over again.
Offensive MVP for the Hokies: I said Hazleton, and he did have a TD catch, but I think I have to give it to Kumah for his run after catch that put us up by 21.
Bradburn is a punting wizard and a special teams weapon. Seemed like FSU was starting drives at their own 8 all night
We slammed the over button
FSU only had 12 first downs. We had more TFLs than their offense had first downs. Amazing.
Over/under 6.5 tackles for loss by Tech defenders: We averaged 7.7 per game last year, but I'm going to take the under
63 offense plays for FSU 35 went for 0 or negative gain. 55.5%.
I think its a safe beat to never take the under on this one ever again.
An excellent point!
