Farley Trolls The Noles?

Farley's quote from this article had me rolling.

"It was like," Tech defensive back Caleb Farley said, "a glorified practice."

I don't think he meant it as slight, rather to say they were well prepared.

Which made me think...

It seems there is some consensus that this team is legit. I would like to see how they perform against more complex offenses but when Willie Taggart threw down the gauntlet and challenged our athletes to beat his athletes , the Hokies showed up and laid the lumber.

GO HOKIES!

Just Means he gave all the praise to Foster because he had them more than prepared.

I don't think he was so much "trolling the Noles" as he was saying that practice prepared them well for that game.

Farely also played out of his mind with tight coverage all night, two picks and a sack. Those are practice numbers.

more complex offenses? well, we do have William and Mary this weekend, we'd better not sleep on them

"Those Ebrit will really get after ya" *sniff*

I did like how Fuente trusted the WR's to win jump balls. I can't remember our team throwing so many timing fades or just pure "go-up-and-win-it" balls, especially in the first half.

The Dude Abides

After the first couple of drives I was almost expecting it to be kind of like Pitt in 2016 since our outside WRs were so physically imposing compared to their corners and winning. Granted FSU wasn't playing quite as aggressive press coverage and we were playing it safer with the lead.

p.s. our undersized corners were definitely not grabbing your receivers resulting in them having to fight free to make a catch
