Tough break for JJ. Best of luck with a successful surgery and full recovery.
Not sure whether to respond with "seriously..." or "seriously"....
Man, we're really about to find out what kind of team we have; major adversity has clearly hit our team. As has been said before this could be a big turning point for this team, hopefully our leaders step up and we can turn this season around. Hope JJ has a speedy recovery
Welp, there you go.
Let's see what Willis can do with a full week of prep and game planning.
Anyone think we'll see anything from Hooker? Since the staff is all about expected outcomes and ball security it makes me think the experience of Willis makes him a lock for the foreseeable future.
expected outcomes. ugh
Saw enough unexpected outcomes on Saturday to last the entire season. Hopefully one week is long enough to learn from the mistakes and get ready for Duke. Otherwise, it might be a long season.
Totally agree.
I'm now looking back two years ago and thinking that the coaches made a good decision to go after Ryan Willis.
Wondering if AJ Bush should have stayed but none the less, I'm glad we have a capable back-up who has a deep threat.
Best wishes to the JJ recovery, but, this may be the "break" we needed.
JJ manages a game well, but I can't ever say I've ever had a sense of excitement while the team is on offense while he's behind Center.
JJ feels like a college version of Alex Smith, no significant risk of multiple turnovers/interceptions, but also no risk of an accurate deep ball in coverage.
Willis looked like he had a fairly accurate arm and some wheels which might help spread out some defenses.
I am not overly concerned with the offense taking a giant dip in production.
I'd take the college equivalent of any QB that carried his team to one game short of the Super Bowl and was only stopped because his specials teams gave up two turnovers.
This is why you keep a crowded qb room
JJ has a fractured fibula I have a broken heart😢
