Caleb Farley named Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year nominee

Good for him in making an impact on the field this year despite the tragic loss of his mother to cancer and his torn ACL last year.

Ah they called it Virginia Tech University

Hokies, Local Soccer, AFC Ajax, Ravens

Serious question.

If he wins this, does this mean he's eligible for a retired number in Lane?

If an Espy counts, so does this. It's a national award!

ITS A MAJOR AWARD

I love a good nap. Sometimes that's all that's getting me out of bed in the morning.

You picked up what I was putting down.

That rule needs to be changed regardless.

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

That's kinda where I was going with this.

Lets say he wins this award, which would be an excellent honor for him. Suddenly that means he'll be eligible to have his number retired in Lane, but someone like Tyrod Taylor would still be locked out.

I'm good for this.

His "number" won't be retired, but his "jersey" could be. Same way that even though Vick's "jersey" was retired we still have #7 on the field.

I'm just here for the mayo memes.

EDIT: All jokes aside, Caleb has been getting some serious publicity recently. Seems like a good kid.

One of the most disgusting things every created by man that is supposed to be "edible". End memes

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Happy to oblige

That's gnarly

Awesome, never knew any of this before. Lets hope he has a stellar season and wins it

Is this still valid after last weeks performance against ODU?

Not trying to be an ahole, but he had a hard time covering the WRs.

What's
Important
Now

Considering it came out this morning... I'd say yes.

He's good enough to be the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year, but obviously not good enough to be the Miracle Whip Comeback Player of the Year (which is the better award).

.... and with that, I exit this thread and will never come back.
