The best part about it is, on Monday when they introduced him and I saw it on twitter, I was losing it because it was just so ridiculous. I came over to TKP to post the gif, and before I did I noticed that Alum had changed his avatar already. It's good to know the humor isn't just lost on me.
**Side note. It is also hilarious to check out the active discussions to the right as I type this and see said avatar there too.

A few years ago your leg count would show up next to your username but Joe cut that to decrease thread load times.
Also, people were more likely to upvote people with a higher leg count, and downvote new users. This *kind of* limits that.

I actually had to get re-certified recently in CPR and they have completely redesigned the CPR dummy because of this episode.
To make it more difficult to get to the precious heart no doubt.

Wait, now I'm curious. How did they redesign the dummy? Did they machine the head out of steel or something ridiculous like that?
They look much less realistic, and the chest is mainly hollow and clear on the outside (so you can see that there is no heart to cut out). The head has no fleshy face that can be cut off and worn in front of your coworkers.
Entry level CPR is much less complex than it used to be as well, with a big focus on AED use now which walks you through the whole process anyway.
Advanced CPR classes still use a more complex dummy, but they are counting on these people not to want to do stupid stuff to them. When I worked at the park and took the First Responder course, the dummy is designed to feel and in some cases react like a person. I am sure Fireman can inform much more than I can.
Gotcha. I took CPR and lifeguard training back in highschool, so I remember those dummies. Circa 2006ish. Those were definitely the same ones that Dwight cut the face off.
