Edit: like...a lot. Normal golf loosening beers, shitty golf beers, post golf beers, football beers, celebratory beers, primetime game beers...I deserve some goddamn stock options at this point.

And Gameday just threw us under the bus. Paraphrased: Trace McSorely grew up a Tech fan, but they wanted him to be a DB and didn't even offer him a scholarship.
Fantastic start to the day! Millers for everyone!

Are we surprised? Our recruiting around the time he came up didn't have its act together very much, especially at QB. I'm not shocked at all to hear a Heisman candidate wanted to play here at QB but we wanted him to play DB when we were busy converting TEs and desperate to take transfers... Not shocked at all

His biggest P5 QB offer was Vanderbilt, then their coach left and went to PSU. His only other "interest when that happened was Wake Forest and NCST. You act like Tech didn't offer a kid everyone else had figured out.

FYI within the next 4 years ESPN will run a Gameday story detailing how we ONLY offered 300lbs 3-star guard an OL scholly, but he amazingly transformed his body to become a Heisman finalist as a RB.

I'm just saying my #sauces on this one are pretty good, and yes, at the time Vandy had back to back 9 win seasons, play in Nashville, and play in the SEC. Also Franklin recruited the hardest as a QB, but other schools also recruited as a QB. VT did not, however, only as a gray shirt to play DB.

This also should not be a surprise at all. I am interested to see how the picks go later. I also hope they still have a reason to talk about it right before we play in the ACC Championship.

Agree completely. All the handwringing is hilarious. We shat the bed, it was the upset of the season so far, and we expect the talking heads to not talk about it? Ha. If the team doesn't want hear all the noise, don't play like ass and lose to a shitty team like that. We deserve every talking point hurled our way today. End of story.
I'm off my soapbox. Didn't say much about it this last week, and won't say anything else moving forward.
Hope they take care business today.
Go Hokies!!

"Ubering" the kids all over God's green earth today from 8 am to 6 pm. Probably have a few shitty cheap domestic beers before kickoff. Yay gameday lol. Hopefully I'll be off my leash next weekend to enjoy ND festivities with my cousin coming to town.

According to my wife (whom happens to be an RN), I'm not permitted to truly drink until the end of October. I ain't gonna argue or fight with her on this one. So that means everyone else will have to throw back three times as much for me.

Gonna finish a six pack of Sam Adams Oktoberfest while I'm cooking. Then switching to whatever combination of Busch and Bud light is needed to get the win.

Fat Tire.
Hadn't planned on drinking today. But College Game Day made me sad.
Millers. Lots of Millers.
Edit: like...a lot. Normal golf loosening beers, shitty golf beers, post golf beers, football beers, celebratory beers, primetime game beers...I deserve some goddamn stock options at this point.
Some Oktoberfest beer imported from Munich that was on display in the little seasonal promo setup at the grocery store near my house.
Philly you say???
And I am gonna be super weird today. I am not planning on drinking at all. We will see how that strategy pans out. Could call an audible by Halftime.
Yeah make sure you've got some checks you can make at the line if you see something in the defense pre-snap.
Sooooo that didn't take long. I am accidentally at an all day drinking festival now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
UPDATE:
DURKNT
I'll bring your membership card to the fall race.
Bleach because Duke is about to drop 850 passing yards on us.
Still beating this drum. Do you need a hug or something?
Also... Stone Delicious IPA.
This aged well.
Did you actually drink bleach? Seems like a mistake at this point, but maybe not...
As much light beer as my stomach can hold
RVA here, starting with some beer from The Veil (Blueberry IPA) then some Southern Tier Pumking at Hometeam Grill

"Is he 12ft tall?"
No sir.
"Can he run a 3.7 40?"
No sir.
"Is he a transfer?"
No sir.
"No thanks."

This actually isn't true, he had more QB offers than that. #sauces
So the article where he is quoted as saying that isn't true? So he wanted to play at Vanderbilt?

Oof
In the first 30 minutes they mentioned ODU upsetting VT three times, then talked about it for a solid minute straight.
This also should not be a surprise at all. I am interested to see how the picks go later. I also hope they still have a reason to talk about it right before we play in the ACC Championship.
As they should have... it was kind of a big story last week

Go Hokies!!
I never said it shouldn't have been talked about, merely pointed it out for those that didn't see. By all means, they should talk about it.
Sorry if it looked like I was directing this at you. More of a general comment about Hokies in general, not even just TKP.
You're good!
Probably staying sober so I can drive to Morehead City at 2 a.m. to fish and help my friends clean up a little.
Whatever Mickey and Co are serving so far water, orange juice and chocolate milk.
Ask for a mimosa
Debating between Knob Creek bourbon, Chivas Regal Scotch and box wine. Can't decide what this game deserves.

Beer - Port City Oktoberfest, Warsteiner Oktoberfest, Port City Integral IPA,
Food - beer brats and onions on the grill and a metric s*** ton of homemade kasespaetzle
Caffeine at the moment, but Grand Marnier later
Pumpkin spice latte :)
#basic
Nice username, I love being inside you.
Sticking with my gameday tradition of a shot of Wild Turkey 101 and then switching to whatever craft beer catches my eye while I'm in Denver.
According to my wife (whom happens to be an RN), I'm not permitted to truly drink until the end of October. I ain't gonna argue or fight with her on this one. So that means everyone else will have to throw back three times as much for me.
Does this mean that you are sober when you post during games? Holy crap, November ought to be off the rails.
Captain and Coke during the game. Maybe caramel apple sangria as well...
Also got some Sierra Nevada for a few solid IPAs thrown in the mix. Not a huge hop head but just like an IPA now and then.
But now I kind of want some Oktoberfest since it's that time of year and all.
Hofbrau Oktoberfest Beer and Makers 46 when I run out of beer.
Switching to liquor after drinking all the beer, huh. I too like to live dangerously.
Probably blue moon, ballast point or shock top
I've been drinking Swiss local brews and hiking all day
Whiskey. All. Day. Long.
Some bombers of Dingo Dog brews and when those run out, Sam Adams Octoberfest.
Busch Light. Because reasons
Gonna finish a six pack of Sam Adams Oktoberfest while I'm cooking. Then switching to whatever combination of Busch and Bud light is needed to get the win.
Coke Cola vanilla
Gross
Budweiser. Diesels only.
Hear hear!
Not enough
Old Rasputin
I keep seeing this and thinking we got college game day. The suspense is killing me...
We are 3-0 when I drink Blade and Bow. 0-1 when I do not drink Blade and Bow.
Will somebody get this man a Blade and Bow?!?!?
Did I do this right?
