I just want them to win the damn game. Then I'll start to feel a little less bad about ODU.

Number 24 seems about right. Last night was a good win but the stench from the ODU game will hang in the air for awhile. Now, a win over Notre Dame will give us a big push up the standings.

Ut Prosim Ad Dei Gloriam

We were reminded of the ODU loss often while tailgating with the dookies!

Was at Costco today and ran into a random lady (ODU grad) and her husband (JMU grad). They were ribbing me pretty good -- we'll be hearing about this one for a long time.

Just say 39-0 or see you in Lane next year.

i wouldn't sweat it...i was out the following Sunday and saw lots of Hokies flaunting their pride regardless of the ODU debacle. sure it was a tough loss, but it doesn't define us...

Yeah Hokie Nation always going strong! You're right, the loss doesn't define us and I love how the team has been refocused and is owning that sh!t.

I personally didn't mind the ribbing, and to be honest, I had a cold last weekend, so I didn't really have the energy to be all that upset. Definitely happy that the team bounced back and I was in better health this weekend!

I was there and had to remind a few dookies that our program has gotten big enough that we can have an embarrassing loss, while duke IS the embarrassing loss.

Their fan attendance is what I find embarrassing.

Ain't that the truth! Pretty pathetic turnout last night, especially considering they had just gotten ranked. The press box side across the way was really empty.

Couple Duke fans came and sat behind us and exclaimed "whoa, we're in enemy territory" as they came down the row. They were cool, though.

I was in section 10/11 and there were so many empty seats around me, I knew I wouldn't bother any Duke fans as they sat! lol

I would have been more surprised to not be ranked. Receiving votes last week plus a ranked road win made this a certainty.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Feels like we "Rafi Bombed" our way back into the top 25!!!!!

FOSTERS: Australian for defense

It's honestly crazy to think that we lost in one of the biggest upsets of the past decade and we are now ranked again.

I'm not even really sure the ND will tell us a whole lot about our team still. If they really are a top10 team they should probably smoke us, but that still doesnt really leave us with much going forward into ACC play.

The entire Coastal is an unknown. We aren't the only team who doesn't know how good they are.

The ND won't really tell us anything unless we beat them. Even if we get beat pretty bad, the Coastal is still well within reach.

This. How the f@#$% are we ranked again already. I'm still convinced we're going 7-6 this year.

It's the blessing/curse of an inflated preseason rank. We'll likely dip in and out of the rankings this season with each win/loss (I'm not naive enough to believe we're gonna win out). I remind myself a lot that rankings are based on what happened last week, not where pundits believe we will be at the end of the season.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

20-25 are just invented for TV anyway. They wanted a ranked game in Primetime. If it doesn't go your way then make shit up.

I love a good nap. Sometimes that's all that's getting me out of bed in the morning.

Yep... Seems like I frequently see people talking about how the AP votes in a team just to get a "ranked vs. ranked" matchup, which doesn't really make sense because the AP doesn't give a damn about TV ratings and are completely unaffiliated with the major broadcasters.

That would mean we make the ACCCG at either 7-4 or 6-5. Then lose/win that and then lose/win our bowl game.

That would be a wacky way to end the season.

Honestly, 7-4 Coastal champs wouldn't be too wacky at this point.

- Lose to ND
- Lose to BC
- Lose to either GT or Pitt
- Win all other games
- Have Miami, Duke, and Pitt each lose a second ACC game

That way we win the division at 6-2, a far cry from 2008 when we won it at 5-3

I think a 7-4 VT representing the Coastal in the ACCCG would be perfectly emblematic of the status of the ACC this season lol.

WE can win if we stick to the same offensive game plan and on defense, we need to be tight.

If we don't win, we need to show that we can at least hang with them, losing is not the end of the world but we can't get blown out. I think we can certainly hang with them and I think we have a good chance to win this game.

Hokies, Local Soccer, AFC Ajax, Ravens

Could you imagine a top 10 matchup in Lane

Born in Charlottesville, Reborn in Blacksburg

'07 BC was probably the most recent one. Lane was juiced.

VT '10 #AllMaroonEverything

2009 Miami and VT was very close. It was #9 vs #11

I figured we would be ranked again considering 25, 24, 23, 22 & 20 all lost last week.

1-0 every week

Michigan State guy had us at 17, don't know what he's drinking but I want some!
