Beyond the awesome production by Virginia Tech, get a sideline feel for some of the biggest plays against Duke.

Great angle on that Keene stiff arm
any thoughts on if that could have been a face mask penalty? In slow mo, it looks like he gets his fingers in there, but I will admit I don't have my usual encyclopedic knowledge on this topic.
That was not a facemask. Unless we were playing Michigan or Alabama. But then it would probably be called targeting.
Speaking of targeting, at game speed I thought the close line tackle of Savoy could have been. After watching at home it was vicious but clean.
The way I interpret the rule, it was targeting.
Now was he defenseless? Gray area, I suppose.
dare I say it was a bang-bang play!
Not a facemask because it was open palm. Keene would have had to grab and hold the facemask for it to be a penalty. Only OL are called for any contact to the facemask. Both defenders, blockers and the ball carrier can make contact to the facemask with their hands as long as they don't grab.
I liked getting the grass for the lunch pail from the D.
Was going to say the same. Of all the ridiculous turnover chains and backpacks and other tokens, ours I feel is the most original and most bad ass. We literally take a piece of your field with us. Can't compete with that.
That thing was almost full too. Been claiming opponents turf for quite some time.
take your damn leg for the greatest spy of all time, and one of the greatest "scientists" who's NOT exactly a doctor, dammit...
Great vid. Probably gonna take a lot more than that to smash & trash the Irish. The team's gonna have to go through more pain in the prep to get the W.
That was great. NFL level production.
One question, what's the plan for the field clippings once the lunch pail is full?
Do you know how densely grass packs? That and the dead stuff from decades past has probably turned to dust by now.
The old stuff is composting. They incorporate it into the soil of the practice field. Gives the D an edge.
I do know. I also know that there is a lot of artificial turf in there that isn't turning to dust.
I was thinking when we build a statue of Bud Foster it is clear, hollow plexiglass and we fill it with the past clippings.
That'd be one pretty fuckin huge, gigantic ass statue. Probably bigger than Beamer's.
Nothing like the sight of decomposed grass to pay homage to the greatest assistant coach in football.....
lol
the "artificial" part of artificial turf seems to be escaping you two that think everything in the lunch pail is decomposing. plus, i'm obviously just joking.
I really like the shot of Wiles hugging on Rambo after his TD. #FAM
Beamer and Foster are living legends, but Charlie Wiles is without question my favorite individual coaching personality in Tech history. He just seems like such great dude to listen to and be around, like the ideal prototype drinking/fishing buddy.
That was sick. Do we do this after every game? Because if we don't, we should. Wins can be like that and losses can be more motivation for the coming week
One of the better recap videos from Hokie Vision for sure
Really liked the video. Reminded me of the Mic'd up videos they would do last year that I loved.
That lunchbox portion...chills
That was so hawt.
